◊ Ziggy Phunk clearly stands out from today’s crowd of Producers and DJs who narrowly specialize on one and only genre and sound – he instead takes the road less travelled, diggin deep in the crates,  playing and producing everything good for the soul within Disco, Nu Disco, Indie Dance and House with elements from Afro, Latin, Funk, Soul & Jazz to The Far East.

Ziggy Phunk is a familiar and respected name because of his continiously feel-good, dancefloor oriented productions of both original work, remixes and quality edits & reworks of late 70s & early 80s disco, funk & soul, which is all made to fit a modern dancefloor. 
     His diverse sets, commitment and his incredible contagious energy behind the decks will make sure you can't stand still on the dance floor...  
Ziggy is also known for his love and burning passion for quality house music, especially Soulful House & Afro House. House Music don't have a big scene in Copenhagen where his from, but Ziggy is still determined and inspired to share top quality house music with people and to take them on a journey, with his diverse dj sets and let them feel, that real heartfelt uplifting vibe, that house music brings. ◊

Ziggy have seen the likes and support from artists such as Dave Lee (Joey Negro), Purple Disco Machine, Mousse T, Folamour, Soulmagic and more. His releases have seen several TOP 100 and TOP 10 chartings both on Traxsource and Junodownload.

Archaeological evidence from prehistoric times suggests that the Earth was once viewed as a living, female being. Ancient texts and mythologies support the idea of a female deity associated with the earth and all life. The Phyrigian Earth Mother Kybele was one such figure among many and represented the earth, mountains, caverns, and all nature, the birth of humanity, the universe and everything in it. 

Inspired by this timeless and universal vision, this project is dedicated to featuring and celebrating the bounty and beauty of the creative works of women in music through special podcasts, original releases, and mixtapes curated by women producers, DJs, and musicians of a wide range of genres from around the world. 

In addition to highlighting the works of women in music, Kybele develops opportunities for broader inclusion of and greater collaboration among emerging and established artists  of all backgrounds through the "Friends of Kybele" series.

Santi (from Asunción, Paraguay) and Tuğçe (from Istanbul, Turkey) left their homes to follow their dreams of music and have been road companions and musical partners for more than a decade. Currently based in Berlin after many years of living in the US where they first met, they each bring a vibrant mosaic of influences and ideas from all over the world: soulful melodies, colorful instrumentation, dreamy harmonies, and surgically engineered dance-floor beats, informed by years of Santi’s training in music composition and computer science along with Tuğçe’s studies in jazz vocals and creative writing. To this date, they have performed in many major electronic and world music festivals, clubs, theaters, and concert halls throughout Europe, Asia, North and South America and received critical acclaim worldwide (e.g. Oye! on NPR’s “Latin Roots: Best Alternative Songs of 2019”, Songs for my Grandmother among Beehype’s “Best Albums from Turkey” in 2017).
