Lyrics are provided for all songs and reading them while listening is a great way to enjoy my music. I float around genres and love hard hitting, edgy music if it’s also emotional and beautifully melodic. Like some of these favourites of mine: brakence, Panic At The Disco, Ellie Goulding, Cosette, Emily Millard.

I play piano and guitar and love collaborating; pretty much all of my songs were created collaboratively in some way and I am exceedingly grateful for the many talented and kind friends God has given to me through music. As any of them would tell you about me, I value originality and strive to extract, embrace and enhance all that makes me and my music unique while trying to grow my skill in any and all areas of music always. My collaborators have encouraged me and pushed me to be far better than I ever thought I could be and I’m ecstatic over the quality of music I make now which never would have been possible by myself. Thank you so much everyone who has made music with me; I can’t tell you how much your efforts and fellowship do for me.

If you haven’t heard my music before I tend to write passionate songs with deep, poetic lyrics heavily riddled with alliteration and coloured with careful word choice. It’s not so much a place I seek to paint and then immerse the listener in with my music but more like the emotional imprint of your own memories. I feel deeply both pleasant and painful feelings and more so again as they are fed by their contrast with the other. The goal of Alyn Ford music has always been to sting a bit unexpectedly but in the hopes that good may come of it somehow. Much of my music is written about one individual in my life who embodies what I wanted to my music to be long before we ever met. Someone who can’t bear to look but too brave to look away. These songs tell of her story and of mine while some tell stories of my collaborators; these are special to me. Whichever song you listen to I hope above all that it is your own story that you hear. My songs carry a message but I would rather you interpret them yourself and form your own and the one you need to hear. Thanks for listening.
