Taking their name from a 1920's Soviet arts publication, Novyi Lef (pronounced No-wee Leff) offer an angry, political take on electroclash, plying their trade in architectural punk via analogue synth screams and squeals.

Manchester based solo artist 'myjoy' crafts brooding synthpop straddling melancholy and melody. Hailing from a city with a proud tradition of misery, myjoy channels the spirit of Depeche Mode and other leathery gloom merchants, without the leather or massive international success. Critics have described some of myjoy's music as "alright", "not bad I suppose" and "better than Rob's", with one even stating "I don't actually mind this one too much".
