The melody is haunting, and the swirling of sounds is quite hypnotic. Feels a bit like a futuristic Dracula pounding out a composition at a very steampunk looking pipe organ. :)

The base instrumental sound is quite gripping too. the swells have an exhilarating effect.

There is something extremely moving and unsetling in a good way in this intro, I don't know what exactly, the harmonics, the tonality, the timbre of what feels like a physical musical instrument like an old organ. ... Now it took me so long to write this that I'm now at the end of the piece and it is fabulous. Makes me want to watch Twenty Leagues Under the Sea, the old film made in the late sixties I think, with what's his name, ... Lolita, ... James ... , ... damn it I can't remember. MASON!!!! James Mason. A fine British actor in his days. He played captain Nemo if I remember correctly : )
