Dick Johnson (Magik J)


As a teenager Dick Johnson landed a residency at Manchester’s legendary Hacienda Club where he honed his house sound until it’s closure in 1997. Before long he was producing tracks for Cream’s Olympic label, New Order’s Pleasure Recordings and Manchester’s Paper Recordings collective, and had set up his own record label Shaboom records which went on to do over 100 releases from the likes of Joeski, Fred Everything, Doc Martin and DJ Sneak.

Prolific in the studio, he went on to do albums for Darren Emerson’s Underwater Label and Bristol house imprint NRK, as well as releases for Jesse Rose’s Made To Play/Play It Down, Southern Fried, Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records, Lazy Days, Soundway, MOS & Vicious.

As well as his own productions, Dick has remixed the likes of Crookers, Claude Von Stroke, DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, Worthy, Crazy P, Bassnectar, Fred Everything and has recently set up two new acts. The first is eight-piece band Weird Together with its own twist on world music and two EP’s signed to UK label Soundway and Jillionaire of Major Lazer’s Feel Up Records. The second is MEDZ, a slower, more futuristic electronic project with the first release due out on Vicious Btch.

Now based in Auckland, New Zealand and with a weekly show on local radio station George Fm, Dick continues a busy DJ schedule and it’s a rare weekend indeed that he is not behind the decks electrifying a crowd of dedicated followers and testing his tunes on dance floors from Russia to Argentina and most points in between. He has EP’s due to drop in mid 2015 for Play It Down and  Vicious Records, and a 10 year anniversary release of his classic ‘Feel Alright’ on Oliver Dollars ‘ new label Industry Standard.

Renowned selector, producer, label owner and all round inspiration to countless women worldwide, she has established herself as a formidable presence. With 25 years under her belt, Sam’s vision and determination remain as staunch as ever. Driven by the finite nature of life, she is instigating a pivotal shift in her lifestyle. BIOGRAPHY:
One of New Zealands premier DJ's, one half of Aural Trash and co-owner of Move To Trash Recordings, Angela Fisken plays bass, booty house and breaks.

Angela has played direct support for artists such as Deadmau5, Boys Noize, PeaceTreaty, Calvertron, Hostage, Cold Blank, D.I.M, Porter Robinson, Rico Tubbs, Trevor Loveys, Hijack, Klaus Hill, Kid Kenobi & MC Sureshock, Nick Thayer, Nadisco, Malente, Lady Waks and The Aston Shuffle as well as support for Skrillex, Dizzee Rascal, Afrojack, Wolfgang Gartner, DJ Zinc, Nom De Strip, Trumpdisco, Roger Sanchez and Foamo. Fisken tours New Zealand on a regular basis, and has played almost every major party and event in her hometown Auckland and also across the country including Rhythm & Vines, Big Day Out, Homegrown, Our House, NiteLife, Deep Hard N' Funky, Summadayze, Ministry Of Sound and Summerset. 

In 2003 Angela teamed up with Greg Churchill to form the mighty Aural Trash brand which included a weekly radio show on Aucklands BFM and the ever popular annual Aural Trash NZ Tours. They moved to NZ dance music station GeorgeFM in 2006 and in 2011 moved to UPFM to host Wednesday Drive from 4-6pm.

In 2010 they started their own record label 'Move To Trash Recordings' and in 2011 started up a sub label called 'AG/FC'.

Eddy Beneteau is overall a complete artist; main Dj, Producer and creator of Supalife Records in 2009, the originality of his sounds allowed him to work with ProducerLoops for whom he creates high quality sample pack series. His musical style and the quality of the sound he makes are supported by some of the greatest specialized webzines and magazines such as ComputerMAgazine, Future Music Magazine, Electronic Musician or the blog Rekkerd.org, which are very talkative about his work.

Lenny Dee (industrial strength Records) is recognized as one of the world's earliest House and Breakbeat pioneers. About a SupalifeRecords pack he will say: 

“When I demoed the pack, the beats sounded so dope I had to drop them into my production that I was working on that day. The breaks I used really took the production up a notch. They were well cut, totally user friendly, and they just sounded great! The pack had so many great bits to use, it was tuff to choose what I wanted to mangle first. If I had to sum this pack up in two words, it would be “Must Have”.

Eddy does not only creates soundbanks, he spent the last decade composing many club and dance floor titles, signed up on international labels and played all over the world by radio stations.
