It's hard to believe that it's already been 24 editions of cosmique. 

Time has flown by so quickly, I've been really inspired by all the amazing artists and producers out there, and I'm grateful to everyone who has been following this journey with me. It's always a pleasure to be able to share a new mix with you all every month at the full moon. 

This month's mix begins with a song called Tribe by the amazing artist @Marsigmusic. It's truly an honor to have him onboard with the collective and I can't wait for everyone to hear his upcoming EP on Phases Musique. I hope you enjoy this month's mix and thank you, as always, for listening.

I feel like being a DJ was meant to be for me, I never chose it and never intended to do this, it became on its own and I’m sure I will do this my whole life regardless of other things. I’ve been a DJ for many years now, started as a teenager learning from my mom who would Dj for her friends (with Cds!). Ive always had a memory for music, always aware and curious and have been collecting ever since I can remember. I love curating, I love music that has colors in it, I love to change within my style and I believe in letting go of genres and moving intuitively.

Shira Fish about her mix:
These days I’m playing most at weddings as it is the peak of the season, I love this work and feel blessed to create these magical journeys of music from all times for all kinds of people. This work is about being in service and many times to be a pleaser, putting my own personal interests aside and playing music for all. In a way I believe there is always a balance between what I want to play and what is right for the moment and we always need to place ourselves somewhere along the scale. This set was an opportunity for me to do the exact opposite of a wedding set, and create a journey of music that interested me most lately. It speaks my darker side, I've noticed my ear is attracted to acid sounds and darker vibes lately. I rarely allow myself to play these kind of tunes in front of a dance floor and this set is definitely my alter ego playing.
Its is all that I miss, its is not made to please and it is not necessarily easy to digest, and that is a big practice for me since the beginning.

Shira Fish about women in the industry:
Many times I see in the media or I get offers with the saying “we are looking for a female Dj”, or “we created a balanced line-up”. I feel many times that even though the intentions are good, saying it like this creates the opposite feeling. I wish to be invited to play because I am the right person for the slot and not because I am a woman. Women should be on stage because they are talented artists and not to balance the lineup and make it look good!
