HULA-HOP TAPES is a podcast series that was created with the intention of sharing music, for us to enjoy it and for it to be a space where we can give our opinions and exchange opinions via SoundCloud.

For the TAPE 001 we have Badano and it is also his first podcast. What he says is true: 

"I've been wanting to bring out material that I've been nourishing myself with, especially over the last year. 

Although I have my musical preferences, I always say that there is a small corner within each music style that has its own moment that I am able to enjoy and I’ll try to show it little by little, starting with this podcast, developed with a very special selection.

Los primeros tape cassettes, o simplemente tape o cassette surgieron en el año 1963 y fueron fabricados por la marca Philips. A lo largo de la historia, los DJs han usado este formato para la grabación de sus sesiones en directo y es una de las razones por las que hoy en día podemos disfrutar y conocer las mezclas que se realizaban allá por los años 90.

Tampoco pretendemos engañar a nadie, no habíamos pensado en esto cuando la idea nació. Pero es un nombre molón y fácil de darle identidad visual. 

HULA-HOP TAPES es una serie de podcasts que nace con la intención de compartir música, que la disfrutemos y que, por qué no, sea un espacio donde opinar e intercambiar opiniones gracias a la interacción que SoundCloud permite.

Para el TAPE 001 tenemos, a quien sino, a Badano y además es su primer podcast. Todo lo que dice es verdad, pero se ha puesto un poco intensito, las cosas como son:

“Llevo un tiempo queriendo sacar a la luz material del que me he nutrido sobre todo este último año. 

Hace cosa de un año me encontraba en una situación de frustración conmigo mismo, con mi música; por el hecho de no poder sentirme cómodo en distintas situaciones a lo largo de un fin de semana musical; en el cual, predominaba el baile de la música más pistera. Sin embargo, tras esos momentos de baile siempre quedaban esos momentos de decadencia donde uno ya no buscaba bailar sino gozar de esos sonidos puros que afectan al cerebro de una manera relajante. 

Me frustraba el hecho de buscar sensaciones que mi música no era capaz de aportar al momento, ni a mi mismo; Por lo que no tenía nada que ofrecer musicalmente en estos casos.

Tras esta situación, me propuse poder contar una historia musical durante un fin de semana entero en el que abarcaría múltiples estilos definidos para cada momento y poder gozar de de cada uno de ellos en su momento más adecuado. 

Aunque tengo mis preferencias musicales, siempre digo que existe un pequeño rincón dentro de cada estilo musical que tiene su momento y del cual soy capaz de disfrutar y así lo iré mostrando poco a poco, Comenzando por este podcast, desarrollado con una selección muy cuidada. 

Espero que os guste.”
