I fell in love with Jamaican styles of music in my teenage days. At the age of 16 I started collecting & playing records. I started to set up King David Soundsystem in 1995. It has always been a work in progress system. I started with 500 watts and played roughly 10k in 2010. Traveling to many places I met a lot of people and I really give thanks for a load of amazing experiences. Jah know! 
Living in Berlin since 2000 I´ve been an integral part of the local Reggae/Soundsystem scene until around 2012. Since 2022 I´m back with the new King David Soundsystem 2.0, ready to kick off my label "Ital Breakfast Records" and also proudly presenting the „Ital Breakfast Radioshow“ on https://hearticalfm.com and https://www.omyradio.net the 2nd Saturday every month.

I was born in Brantford Ontario Canada July 11th 1963,
I'm a retired City Worker from The Brantford Ontario Works Dept of 34 years of service,
I was 9 years old when I started taking drum lessons with the Ontario Conservatory Of Music,
I taught drum lessons and played in a band that played blues, country, 50's, blue grass,
I started making playlists at the age of 12 years old (1975) Pioneer Turntable, Cassette Deck, Receiver & two 50 watt Speakers.

Geschwätz GmbH began coming together in May, 2024 when aspiring DJ and producer, Petra Joy Fischer, met her soul mate, Austrian trumpetist, arranger, singer, rapper, and master brewer, Peter Roland Kuhn, on a platform at Hamburg-Altona Bahnhof en route to the warm-up party for the 2024 Schlagermove festival. From the farmlands outside of Schleswig, Fischer had found office work in Hamburg depressing, and trying to break into the city's saturated DJ and electronic music scene a constant frustration. She subsequently abandoned city life for her new-found love and the mountanous beauty of rural Austria. Already by early June, she had packed down her vinyl collection, grow room, and home studio and re-located permanently to Kuhn's remote home town, the mountain-locked village of Brandt. There the inseparable, reclusive couple began pumping out a wide selection of tracks, employing the services of Kuhn's own talented, Reggae-inspired, home-town, brass schlager band (Die Einheimischen). The resulting musical constellation melds some of the pair's favorite styles: Glitch & Electronica, Ska, Reggae, Dub, Hip Hop, Trip-Hop, Rap, 1940's & '50's Jazz & Swing, Polka, World Music, Analogue & Digital Turntablism, EDM, and German Party-/Pop-/Folk- Schlager. Shortly after meeting, Petra joined Peter on a visit to his brother in Denmark. There the couple met their primary collaborator, musician and co-producer, Jah Bozo, a good friend of Peter's brother. An electronic producer since the 1980's, Jah Bozo, is online live almost daily from Copenhagen with Petra and/or Peter at their home studio deep in the Austria Alps. When Peter's worklife as master brewer at Brandt Bierhalle keeps him from the studio, Petra Joy and Jah Bozo occupy themselves with their own tracks, often collaborating with other band members from Die Einheimischen, particularly the multi-talented Lauer sisters - Birgit and Simone. The production team have recently (Spring/Summer 2025) been recording and producing a bunch of Die Einheimischen's own Reggae-driven Schlager tracks for posterity, fun, and profit. Likewise, Geschwätz is collaborating on tracks with friends and producers around the world. These include The Ruff Mate (UK), SpiceDoubt (Germany), and young South African producer and visual artist, Lesedi Dlamini, from Bantfu Beliciniso. Many of these tracks and collaborations can also be found here (and currently nowhere else). The Crew has determined that it is not in their (or anybody elses') interests to hand their rights off to the mercy of malignant, thieving corporatist overlords and management, and will NOT be signing to either publishing or labels. Geschwätz has chosen to set its own course independantly. So don't even bother asking...! OK?! And stop spamming us, you transparent, scamming fuckers!
