Update: 20230423: Re-rendered to binaural using APL Virtuoso early trial binauralizer plugin. Seems very clean, transparent and "real."

Update: 20230507: Re-rendered to binaural using Supperware Renderer as a Cubase panner -- the panner incorporated head tracking, a big bonus.

Back into Nothingness, "poetic architecture" for actress-singer, choir and electronics. Text by Laure Gauthier, commission of Grame and Ircam, premiered at TNP of Villeurbanne by Anna Clementi, Spirito Choir, Nicole Corti conductor and scenography by Giuseppe Frigeni.
Soloists Magali Perol-Dumora and Léo Fernique.
With the help of "Aide à l'Écriture" of Culture French Ministry.

"Back into Nothingness emprunte son titre à un cycle gravé du symboliste allemand Max Klinger (Ins Nichts zurück). Ce monodrame fait écho au destin de l’orphelin Kaspar Hauser qui a défrayé la chronique dans l’Europe du début du XIXe siècle. Kaspar est cet enfant trouvé qui est arrivé en 1828 aux portes de Nuremberg après 17 ans de captivité dans une cache sombre. « Le séquestré au cœur pur » (F. Dolto) n’a cessé d’inspirer les artistes, de Verlaine à Peter Handke.

Comment faire entendre la surdité, l’enfermement, le langage par onomatopée, la langue qui déraille et devient chant ? "
