Have you ever been to Goa? With the next release of the Lithuanian label Electric Shapes, you have a chance not only to (re)visit it, but to also feel the power of its unique sounds. “Chaos Is Order Yet Undeciphered” is full of mystery, drama, and of course: Goa Trance. Result of the creative mind of talented Russian producer Rambal Cochet (aka Volta Cab), the powerful 11-track album is divided into eight outstanding originals and three interesting remixes made with love by Jokios Kultūros, Tassilo Vanhöfen, and Anatolian Weapons.

"Deckard's Dream", the track we chose to premiere/review, is a 110-BPM beast. Its trippy pads and melodic synth layer are mesmerizing. You can actually feel yourself immersed in a dream, numb, lost in its trancy atmosphere. The entire album is full of sensation-trigger themes – its main characteristic, actually. Originals and remixes, restlessly, seem to be on a mission: Disturb your senses and put you away from reality. Something we might be in need of at the moment. 

An interesting fact about “Chaos Is Order Yet Undeciphered” (what a great name, by the way): It is also available in a super cool limited-edition cassette. We got ours (thanks for the gift, Aleksandr), get yours, peeps!

Melodic Motion sees Martin Matiske use his machines in a new way. Across four tracks, the German musician inspires. “Digital Emotion” is built on crisp drum patterns, patterns from which Matiske arcs rich analogue notes. Vocals, employed almost like samples, give a human quality to this future-world vision. Technology is a central theme of the EP. Human qualities melt in robotic currents in “Computer Dance,” colder electro tones merging with warm and cheer-filled videogame echoes. “Information Product” maintains some of the electro character of its predecessor. Yet this is far from a dark piece, its uplifting piano keys surging with optimism. The icier tones of “Transmission” closes. Warm arpeggios rise against a front of crystalline chords in this final foray into this ever-so-close world of tomorrow.

Samo Records has something special for their next release. Mickey Dagger, who previously released a track on our Spiral compilation, sent us a whole EP jam-packed with incredible remixes.

For his cover of the ‘80s kitsch track "I Want To Be A Cowboy,” he adds his signature dark and slightly sarcastic spin.
On the remix side, we have Antoni Maiovvi, who did a big room mix, Thomas Von Party, who made a breaky one, Ortrotasce, who contributed an old-school industrial/EBM version, and label head Facets, who was convinced by Mickey to provide his own take.

All the proceeds will be going to ISKWEU Project an indigenous women's shelter in Canada.
