Hailing from Cologne, Hans Schaaf first release as Honesty was in 1995 via Space Teddy Recordings.

Since then Schaaf moved to Berlin, performing as part of an improv-jazz band named Gelee Royale, as well as focusing on producing club music under various monikers. Schaff’s best-known pseudonyms, such as Honesty, Honeydrop and a duo named Slope alongside Cabinet founder Daniel Paul, have collectively released on the likes of Room With A View, Cabinet and Sonar Kollektiv.

Burnski is by no means the fresh faced new comer he looks. Despite still being relatively young, he has actually been toiling away, building up an enviable discography and laying down fierce DJ sets for a whole decade and a half. Right from the off he began making a big impact with early releases and has continued to quietly but competently build up momentum ever since. The upshot of this is that he is now at the point where he is a mainstay on the underground scene around Europe and beyond.

As a DJ, Burnski aims to mix the old with the new, is still a passionate vinyl hoarder and spends plenty of time digging deep for sounds and styles a mile away from the ordinary: if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be able to boast regular gigs at places like DC10 in Ibiza, Fabric in London, Rex Club in Paris and Watergate in Berlin, all of which find him weaving together tracks that make you want to dance as well as making you feel something deep down inside.

In the wake of early, standout career hits, Burnski is now crafting darker, more stripped back and rawer output. Today, we premiere Burnski's hypnotic interpretation of DJ Honesty's 'Schillerkiez', featuring a low-slung groove and added vocal to the already infectious synth hook.

Premiere: Mihai Popoviciu - Focus [Bondage Music]

Tripmastaz AKA Andrew Guyvoronsky debuts for Cadenza Lab with the ‘Blossomz’ single; a trio of heady club cuts that typifies his hypnotising house sound and knack for the perfect groove. 

Originating from Moscow’s music scene, and slowly emerging as one of the more renowned Russian producers to influence global labels, Andrew has released music for Richie Hawtin’s Minus imprint, DJ Sneak’s own Magnetic Records, as well as other appearances on Cécille Records, Desolat and Shanti, all proving fantastic platforms for his minimal sound and guided musical expressions. 

Aside from his productions, Tripmastaz who runs his own label, 74 Records, has also held a residency at the impressive rooftop party Techno Gipsy since 2013, a further accreditation to his career as a Producer and DJ. With an illustrious remix career to match, collaborations with DJ Sneak have pushed him toward close affiliations with the House Gangster Movement and the funky side of house music so clearly important to his work. 

Lead track, ‘Blossomz’, opts for a captivating percussive groove, whilst vocal samples are put through the wormhole to create rhythmic effects; fans of Mountain People/Sasha Dive will lap up this vibe for sure.  ‘Sublimely Relieved (Cuban Linx)’ raises the energy level somewhat; a snaking bassline slithers around the crisp drum pattern seductively, as light keys sprinkle over the dubby house sound.  A ‘Bass Dub’ is also offered up, offering an alternate take to round off the release with added weight.

Renowned international craftsman Maher Daniel returns to No. 19 Music with a fantastic new EP that also comes with standout remixes from Art Department, plus label regular JADE (CA). Daniel has been building his own vinyl only label, The Other Side with a series of slick releases that come after other outings on the likes of Circus, 8Bit and of course No.19 Music. He has taken his label to showcases everywhere from the Caribbean to Beirut and always cooks up infectious club sounds in the studio. Alongside this he has a vinyl only edits series called Creature that has consistently sold out upon release. Aside from his production and DJ work he is a central figure in the industry and has a long standing history with the No.19 crew. Here he opens with the excellent ‘A Heart That Beats You’ which is utterly captivating across ten minutes of sleek minimal house. It’s a deep track with rubbery drums and spooky synth designs that hook you in and never let you go. Steamy vocals layer in another element that makes it all the more standout. ‘Hidden Messages’ is another expertly intricate track with slippery synths and drums, minute little effects and drum fills and a restless groove of which Villalobos would be proud. The first of the remixes comes from label boss Art Department, who is enjoying a superb run of releases of late, including standout records for Cassy’s Kwench and The Martinez Brother’s Cuttin’ Headz label. His version of ‘A Heart That Beats You' is a superb late night house cut with warm, colourful chords and a soulful vocal that build the tension until the whole thing drops and sets the club alight. Canadian DJ/producer JADE (CA), a long-time friend of the label, then steps up. Deep, dark bass lines accompanied by solid hi hat patterns sink you into a state of hypnosis and make for another one of this fine talent’s trademark tracks.

From 2012 the label Oblack was set up as an exclusive platform of music expression of Los Pastores, Snna and Nacho Arauz. From Valencia -if Ibiza excuses us- this label bets on undergound house produced on a digital platform, and especially vinyl. Up until now, several artists have released on the label: Luke Solomon, Justin Harris, Yaya, Tuccillo, Filsonik, Brett Johnson, Jay Haze, Phil Weeks, Djebali, Italoboyz or Neverdogs, among others. Their releases- with the highligts of 'Other Sentido EP’, ‘Smoke Game EP’ and 'Discover Base EP' -have been played by masters such as Luciano, Richie Hawtin, Apollonia, The Martinez Brothers, Loco Dice, Mirko Loko, Catz N Dogz and Ricardo Villalobos. They have currently have put out 19 releases, and they have signed as producers 11 of those in vinyl. At present, their 'Vinyl Only' project is the one they feel the most excited about, in so far as it brings back the most genuine format for djs, the 12”. In this new division they have released their first album- under the name of ‘Los Pastores with collaborations’- in which they have guests as System2, Javi Bora, Aldo Cadiz, Juliche Hernandez and Hanfry Martinez. 


Moreover, since 2013 their already infamous 'Oblack Label Nights' have taken their very own signature all around Spain. In this parties they have shared the dj booth with artists like Yaya, Tuccillo, Phil Weeks, Arado, Andrew Grant, Tato, Filsonik or Neverdogs, organising also their successful and acclaimed dates in Ibiza venues such as Destino, No Name, Sankeys or City Hall in Barcelona.
