      O'CRAVEN, is a conglomeration of multiple musicalstyles. From traditional Celtic rhythms, 
and pirate sea shanties to hard driving tribal rock beats, heavy harmonized guitar riffs and catchy lyrics!

Originally from Canada, I am a California girl now! I sing and play recorders, as well as some melodica and Native Indian Flutes. 

Some of the music I have posted here is from recordings with my previous bands: Sweet Jam, plus my very first recording with Club Leroux, and an experimental recording of my own utilizing guitar licks from Terry Haggerty (Sons of Champlain) on our Song Farm project, called "Wolf Song". #SavetheWolves

I have also been part of two Celtic Pirate Rock bands (O'Craven and PIPR) under the alias of Captain Kitty. I sang songs such as Dropkick Murphy's "Dirty Glass" and did backup vocals. We played the Vallejo Pirate Festival and the Northern California Renaissance Faire plus, numerous local clubs. Too much fun!!! Arrr!

Another project that was so much fun was The Seaside Sisters. We were an acoustic duo playing fun and quirky covers of popular songs spanning genres and decades. Hannah Smalltree and myself sang in harmony, and played ukulele, recorders and creative percussion. We were often known to improvise, welcome random guests, incite unexpected singalongs, share bad jokes and hold impromptu contests. It was vaguely vaudeville, a modern sideshow and an all-around good time.

I'm also proud that I had the opportunity to sing back-up vocals with the Jerry Miller Band (Moby Grape) as well, wrote and sang original songs with Terry Haggery, his wife Katie Guthorn (Big Bang Beat) and Keith Graves (JMB, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship, Kevin Cadogan, Greg Camp) for our Song Farm project.

I'm looking to connect with like-minded musicians to form a band, duo, trio, whatever, as long as we have fun! Ideally, would like to regularly rehearse so that we can play at some local venues.
