At the time, Yūzō Koshiro showed a technical prowess using the hardware’s full resources to create a majestic score that inspired many composers. The game’s release within one month of the launch of the console demonstrated the compositional potential it represented to future projects, underscoring its ability to use and manipulate comparatively high-quality samples.

This is a brand new expanded and enhanced version of "The Street of Rage" from Streets of Rage 1, to commemorate the "Final Crash" releases of my Streets of Rage soundtracks. This track will also be incorporated into the F-Games fan game release of STREETS OF RAGE X, for which I am providing the full official soundtrack for. 

This is a much different take on the original theme than my previous work, the "S.O.R. Super Mix," which was originally conceptualized to be a hybrid of the main themes from the first two games. This one stands on its own, but in order to close out this massive chapter in my chiptune composing journey, I've purposely written the expansion so that it directly references "S.O.R. Super Mix," the "Good Ending" theme from Streets of Rage 3, and "You Became The Bad Guy!" from Streets of Rage 1. I love it, and I hope you do, too.
