Similar to the inaugural release in the series, an impressive line-up of artists is featured: label head Justin Imperiale, Punchuashen featuring Laila Davids, Soulprovider & RootedSoul, Griffith Malo, Leoesco, Native Khalif & Donald Sheffey and Deuce Concept to name only a few. The compilation is loaded with deep and soulful music from around the globe and features previously unreleased mixes of former releases as well as brand new productions. The enigmatic Hyenah steps into the spotlight once again for its third Freerange release, with a remix by Frankey & Sandrino - that of which is premiering exclusively here on DHA.

Featuring on the track, The Idea, is SA’s Lazarusman who lays down his distinctive spoken-word vocals over powerful blasts of afro percussion-heavy beats on the very special remix from the German duo Frankey & Sandrino. Since their formation in late-2010, Frankey & Sandrino have released on the mighty Innervisions and Zurich-based Drumpoet regularly, in which their tracks received early spins from Dixon, Ame and Mano Le Tough.

The Idea will be release April 15th on vinyl via Freerange Records with eventual digital releases to follow May 6th.

The afternoon sun was in the window now and the room was too wann. The young man washed and put on his clothes and went down to walk on the beach. He knew he should swim but he was tired and after he had walked along the beach and then along a path through the salt grass that led inland for a way he went back along the beach to the port and climbed up to the cafe. In the cafe he found the paper and ordered himself a fine a l'eau because he felt empty and hollow from making love. The music in the cafe was gorgeous. Dreamy and gentle, a mixture of Electronica, Downtempo and some lovely world sounds all over it. He felt calm and in love, he wanted to travel again. “What's playing right now?” he asked curiously a beautiful waitress. “The new Shango Records single sir. Two tracks by Jose Solano and some gorgeous remixes by AmuAmu, Gulivert and Mikado Koko”. That was it. He was so happy and peaceful with this, he fell in love again, start living with the beauty of this music....

The discription should be: “The Smooth Gardens” is a sensual and groovy track from the brother duo @parallellsofficial and @abundance-live in which they combine many instruments and organic sounds to Thomas from @parallellsofficial' crooner voice.

The EP refers to The Gardens of Babylon movement in Amsterdam, who redefined the music and event experience. It is a family where all of the EP’s artists are part of.

The inspiration also came during Amsterdam Dance Event. A week filled with musical influences. In that sense, The Smooth Gardens is a hymn to dance, where the smooth groove of the track is slowly reaching parts of your body and is leading them to move, sway and dance.

The EP includes two powerful remixes. The first one is from the couple duo @kmln-berlin bringing a rhythmical edge to it. The second one is from @noraj-cue and @undersmusic bringing a powerful clubby vibe. No doubt both versions will shake the dance floors!

Real Name, No Gimmicks. 

In late 2015, Luca’s debut “Situations” first saw the light of day on Feines Tier. The EP was a whimsical fusion of his Hip-Hop roots with electric rhythms and mesmerizing boogie. Now, with his forthcoming third solo record “Proper Preaching”, he comes full circle. 

Musto returns with a blend of handmade instrumental sound by his fellow musicians and that special dash of his notorious intricate groove.
 
The record takes the listeners on a spiritual ride of revelations and hidden messages. Simultaneously, the four tracks deal with philosophical issues by telling stories of morality in “Lucy’s Intension,” the ambitions in “State of Grind” and “Lie To Me,” and finally faith in “Proper Preaching.” 

All of this is merged together by the use of samples as well as Luca’s own recordings of words and atmospheres. Finally, the bigger picture is revealed, fueled by the eloquent subtext and the memory of the ones he lost.

The music travelled through the forest as the birds blink lazy their eyes under the enormous 
humidity of the rainy morning. Some of them were old and rugged, carrying all those years in their back, since the first people tribes inhabitant their forest. The sound of beauty covered all 
corners of the forest, climbed up in the trees and inside their nests, gave birth to tiny insects and amazing animals. The sound which fell from either side of the sky then cascaded between the tall, towering trees. The sunlight beamed down through the murky and moisty leaves, it was muggy and hot, dense and sticky. Soon the night will fall and the ceremony will begin. The shaman is ready to tell the stories of broken dreams, everlasting beauty and unconditional love. This is the new EP by JOSE SOLANO and as the story commands these are three sensuous dreamscapes to transport the listener to the lush tropical environs where birds are speaking and people's names are made of stones.

There is something called Asthu. Imagine it like a Casper flying next to you. It's there all around us. It's like the Indian version of guardian Angel. However, the difference is the Asthu is slightly laid back but disciplined. And it doesn't have a judgmental ability of its own. Rather, it respects you so much that it leaves the job to you and doesn't question. It won't choose for you. It won't know whether you mean it or not. Sometimes you say things you don't mean but it will make it come true. E.g. You wonder what if someone steals your footwear from outside temple, Asthu will bring the attention of a thief to your footwear and it will be gone. Sometimes it will miss listening to you. So when you say something followed by tathastu, it means you have thought so much about what you are saying and calling the attention of Asthu to work along with you to make it come true. So, always be mindful of what you think and say. The literal meaning in English is ‘So be it' or 'apadiye aagatum' or 'apadiagapatathu' in Tamil.
