Born from the ashes of emotional turbulence and sonic experimentation, DIVORCERESS is the metalcore/techno fusion project of multi-instrumentalist Doug Hogg, formerly known as the guitarist and bassist of the underground rock duo Fase (2015–2025). Featuring vocalists Aiden Beckman and ALLI, DIVORCERESS pushes far beyond the confines of traditional heavy music into a darker, more chaotic soundscape.

While Fase built a cult following with their stripped-down alt-rock intensity, DIVORCERESS explores a far more aggressive and cinematic world. Fusing the visceral power of metalcore with the synthetic fury of techno, industrial, and darkwave, the project is driven by Hogg’s uncompromising creative vision and raw emotional core. It is as much a cathartic release as it is a genre-defying sonic assault.

After nearly seven years of meticulous production, false starts, and personal upheaval, DIVORCERESS will release their debut full-length album, PATHOS, on Christmas Day 2025 via Under The Stars Records. Equal parts bleak, blistering, and beautiful, PATHOS is a concept album inspired by SOMA—the psychological horror game by Frictional Games—delving into themes of detachment, obsession, and the existential toll of sentience in a decaying digital age.

With its blend of punishing riffs, haunting synthscapes, and tortured vocals, DIVORCERESS stands at the bleeding edge of metal and electronic fusion—an unflinching mirror held up to the self in crisis.
