Poem:
Emily Elizabeth Dickinson  was an American poet. Little-known during her life, she has since been regarded as one of the most important figures in American poetry.

In this poem, Dickinson discusses her love for a man. She is jealous of everything around him, the water "He rides", the Chariots, the hills that watch him going by, the sparrows, the fly, even the leaves.
"I envy Seas, whereon He rides --" can be seen as a love poem for a man, but it can also be seen as a religious poem. The mention of Heaven and Gabriel can easily make this connection. The love of God and the love of everything he created.

This music was written and finished before the outbreak of war in Europe. We feel deeply for the people who are suffering in the war.
Despite the cruelty of the war, we share this music today,

This poem by Emily Jane Brontë takes us out into nature, where we can for a moment, move away from the painful and brutal world.
The poem focuses on the healing ability of nature. 

Emily Jane Brontë (30 July 1818 – 19 December 1848) was an English novelist and poet who is best known for her only novel, Wuthering Heights, now considered a classic of English literature. She also published one book of poetry with her sisters Charlotte and Anne titled Poems by Currer, Ellis and Acton Bell with her own poems finding regard as poetic genius.

Where do I start!  Tom wrote a gorgeous song for me to sing and he reached out to our lovely Soundcloud scribe, Jaime for lyrics.  The lyrics poured quickly from Jaime's pen as if they were sent from the heavens.  I immediately felt emotionally attached to the song and the lyrics and I couldn't stop singing it over and over.  What a fun, meaningful and beautiful collab. While we are proud and thrilled to share with all, we are sad the work is over.  Hope you enjoy!

"Don't Go To Strangers" is a 1954 song by Arthur Kent with lyrics by Redd Evans.  Don't Go to Strangers was Etta Jones' first album for the independent jazz label Prestige when it was released in 1960 (having been recorded in a single session on June 21 of that year), and although Jones had been releasing records since 1944, including a dozen sides for RCA in 1946 and an album for King Records in 1957, she was treated as an overnight sensation when the title tune from the album went gold, hitting the Top 40 on the pop charts and reaching number five on the R&B charts.Etta Jones was an American jazz singer whose critical success and relative commercial obscurity earned her a reputation in her lifetime as a "jazz musician's jazz singer". A highly underrated singer who rarely received the recognition she richly deserved, perhaps the salient mark of her obscurity was the number of times even followers of the female jazz vocal scene would confuse her with a more popular singer, Etta James. "Smile" is a song based on an instrumental theme used in the soundtrack for Charlie Chaplin's 1936 movie Modern Times. Chaplin composed the music, inspired by Puccini's Tosca.[1] John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons added the lyrics and title in 1954.[2] In the lyrics, based on lines and themes from the film, the singer is telling the listener to cheer up and that there is always a bright tomorrow, just as long as they smile. "Smile" has become a popular standard since its original use in Chaplin's film.

Describing time is not ever going to be easy, but in her own unique way, Emily Brontë is able to effectively convey a powerful means of doing so.
The images described are fairly simple — the past is something to be longed for, the present is something to plan in, and the future is something to look forward to.
The natural imageries used are phenomena that a child might observe all the time while growing up. The childlike simplicity of the metaphors combined with it`s inner meanings is what makes this poem so beautiful.

poem: " Tell Me " , by Emily Jane Brontë (30 July 1818- 19 Dec. 1848)
Haworth, England

Describing time is not ever going to be easy, but in her own unique way, Emily Brontë is able to effectively convey a powerful means of doing so.
The images described are fairly simple — the past is something to be longed for, the present is something to plan in, and the future is something to look forward to.
The natural imageries used are phenomena that a child might observe all the time while growing up. The childlike simplicity of the metaphors combined with it`s inner meanings is what makes this poem so beautiful.

Tell me, tell me, smiling child,
What the past is like to thee ?
'An Autumn evening soft and mild
With a wind that sighs mournfully.'

Tell me, what is the present hour ?
'A green and flowery spray
Where a young bird sits gathering its power
To mount and fly away.'

And what is the future, happy one ?
'A sea beneath a cloudless sun ;
A mighty, glorious, dazzling sea
Stretching into infinity.'

POEM OF EMILY BRONTË 

This shall be thy lullaby,
Rocking on the stormy sea;
Though it roar in thunder wild,
Sleep, stilly sleep, thou bright-haired child.

When our shuddering boat was crossing
Eldern's lake so rudely tossing,
Then 'twas first my nursling smiled;
Sleep, softly sleep, my fair-browed child.

Waves above thy cradle break,
Foamy tears are on thy cheek,
Yet the ocean's self grows mild
When it bears my slumbering child.

I am very happy to release this new song with Oddrun.
2020 has been a difficult and dark year for so many people,  For me this song is a safe place to find shelter from the storm.

Biografi
Oddrun Eikli is the singer in Loops and Bridges. A project headed by Oddrun Eikli and Arne Hiorth. Oddrun Eikli sings, composes the melodies and writes the lyrics , Arne Hiorth does the arranging trumpet work and studio engineering.
