Following on the heels of releases on labels as Etruria, Cocoon and Elevate, italian-based DAST makes his debut on OFF Recordings.

The EP kicks off with "Raid Zone", a classic and timeless piece of spacy bigroom chord techno.

"System Failure" with its unsettling lead takes things more towards the latenight realm.

And Juan Sanchez delivers an even more stomping and peaktime interpretation of "Raid Zone", perfect to "destroy" festival dancefloors.

The 7th release on Bond is the second release in Petter B´s series called “Roots”. On the A-side you find a “Roots Pt. II” with a big yet simple hoover lead. Its simple structure together with its powerful breakdown and tons of dirt makes it a great weapon in a DJs arsenal. On the flip side there are two tracks, the outer one is called “First Wave”. The track has a powerful low end and a rhythmic and minimalistic hook. It builds up almost like a wave and plunges down into a break and begins its journey one more time. The inner track on the b-side is a percussive monster. Its hook is made up of dubbed out percussive elements. After listening to it in a dark room for to long you can almost hear the tre drums starting to talk to you.

Kevin Witt’s new album REVIEW on TKR, his third long player at all, is a true homage on techno. Kevin is turning strong basslines and powerful drum-arrangements into flawless techno connections, taking you back into Detroit-, Berlin- and Frankfurt-History. His range is going from dark, bubbling club tracks like „Change“, „Move“ or „Feel“ up to multi-dimensional and almost fluorescent productions such as „Peak“ or „Timeless“.

Kevin’s tracks are bursting unmistakably when groove and rhythm are interacting. He takes snapshots out of life, transforms them into BPM-sensations and throws them right back into direction alpha centauri. His personal demand on techno is backed up by the sweaty influences he takes out of the nightlife.

The intense connection of analog and digital studio equipment can’t only be felt through the analog sounding drums Kevin records in precise and detailed work and throws through numerous filters. It’s the sound of the whole album tha combines pure international techno with warm, minimal and melodic snippets.

While the drums seem to be on a powerful techno-journey, there’s always a vocal snippet, some FX sound or a Kevin Witt-typical spheric sound kicking in. The variety of instruments and the sounddesign turn REVIEW into a technoid monolith inviting everyone to explore and go on a stimulating journey.

Adam Beyer’s Drumcode juggernaut attracts more fans and critical plaudits with each passing year. Holding firm on its future facing ethos, techno’s number one label presents a new volume in its acclaimed A-Sides series with 20 prime tracks to signify its 20th anniversary. 

Such is the volume of quality music Adam Beyer receives throughout the course of the year, releasing all of it would be impossible. Enter the blue chip A-Sides series: a chance for the quality-obsessive label head to issue a collection of outstanding tracks that couldn’t fit in their regular EP release schedule. 

With an eye on future talent, as much as the label’s established roster of heavy-hitters, the compilation showcases the full breadth of Drumcode’s multifaceted techno sound, equal parts inspiring and functional. 

Led by the stealth techno funk of ‘Nine of You’, Beyer’s deft collaboration with Mark Reeve, the compilation takes in exciting highlights from big guns such as Alan Fitzpatrick, Dustin Zahn, Bart Skils, Pleasurekraft, Luca Agnelli, Jay Lumen, Kaiserdisco and Gary Beck. 

The rich vein of form displayed by emerging techno talent is similarly given prime position. Rising DJ/producer Boxia makes his Drumcode debut, fresh from a well-received warm up set for the crew at the hugely successful Junction 2 festival in London, while the likes of Enrico Sangiuliano, Juan Sanchez, Ian O’Donovan and Timmo also drop fire, establishing their credentials as some of the most promising talent breaking through the ranks in 2016. 

Reinforcing the global scope of the label, artists such as The Junkies from Toronto and Layton Giordani from New York, prove techno is winning a place in the heart of the new generation of artists coming out of North America.

Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

Bruno Cardoso aka Xinobi has built an enviable reputation over recent years, kick started partly by his association with Discotexas and to some extent by his outstanding release on Kris Menace’s Work it Baby label in 2010. His truly eclectic tastes and broad reaching styles have made him a genuinely exciting producer from whom you never quite know what is to come next, this is also reflected in his outstanding DJ performances. His recent remix of the Moullinex single ‘Darkest Night’ on Gomma was a highlight of the package whilst his own ‘(I Hate the Sound of) Guitars’ was a standout release for Discotexas last year.

For his latest release Xinobi drops two brand new tracks, kicking off with the excellent ‘Puma’, a classic House inspired cut that fuses an old school organ line with shuffling percussion and hooky vocal samples to great effect. On the flip, things go a little deeper with the melodic and laidback ‘Woods’ journeying into atmospheric and hypnotic territory with its mix of ethereal pads and insistent bass, quality stuff.
