On 25. september 2015, the OFF Crew, represented by Andre Crom, Nandu and P41, hosted Sisyphos' "Hammerhalle" for the first time. It was a special event for all of us, playing 3-4 hour sets each on the amazing Function One Soundsystem in front of 1000 devoted clubbers.

Nandu opened the night, building the tension with techhouse grooves. 

Then Andre Crom took over, playing the middle slot with rolling grooves meandering from functional to emotional techno.

Finally, P41 closed the night, delivering 3 more hours of eclectic sounds, switching from minimal to maximal techno.

Meanwhile, Melokolektiv and Konvex & The Shadow played a 4 hour B2B set with deeper and spacier sounds in the cozy Wintergarten

We at OFF were really delighted about the night, and felt it was a strong statement towards our future vision.

3 QUESTIONS to PURPLEDISCOMACHINE:

Q: Talking about your mix, how did these early tracks influence your career? 

A: This mix is really special for me. It shows where I came from and what are my roots and influences. I´m a big fan of the 70s and 80s and especially the funk and soul area from these decades. I love artists such as George Benson, Prince, Sister Sledge or Commodores. Even in my own songs you will always find this type of music. Its groovy and funky and sometimes a bit cheeky. That´s what I love. 

Q: From Dresden to the world. Where´s your favorite spot to DJ?

A: There are a lots of amazing spots and venues around the world but South America is very special for me. Since the beginning of PDM most of my fans came from countries like Mexico, Brazil or Columbia. The music scene is still growing but the energy is overwhelming. People are not so jaded and know to party. It´s always inspiring for me to play there. 

Q: Which PDM releases are coming soon?

A: Since more than 2 years I worked on my debut album and I´m more than happy about this lil masterpiece is coming in summer, so stay tuned. Recently I made remixes for Jamiroquai, New Order and Gorillaz.

Within more than a decade now the collaborational production force named Luna City Express, derived and developed from the influences and musical upbringings of Norman Weber and Marco Resmann has turned into a consistent land- and trademark in the elec..
Incorporating a wide range of musical influences, with Norman being the Chicago House loving son to a Funk, Disco, HipHop and Acid Jazz spinning DJ-father and Marco being an experienced producer which already had caused some trouble on the floor whilst using the solo pseudonym Phage before they first met, the sound of Luna City Express is clearly revolving around House Music in its essential form but still remains open minded.
This attitude also reflects in a string of releases unleashed since the two producers introduced their Luna City Express moniker whilst collaborating on a track crafted for the 10th anniversary of the legendary Thuringian club Muna in 2004. For this special occasion they joined forces in the studio for the first time after they had already regularly shared decks as a DJ-team for four years after their initial meeting at an Italian millennium celebration party back in 2000.
