"Before it was light" is a musical diary of self-discovery, born during a journey through India. A period of depth and personal transformation gave life to four tracks blending ambient, sonic experimentation, and field recordings. Each piece is a fragment of a memory suspended between reality and the echo of the places that inspired it.

Gitanjali 35

An ambient piece born on the banks of the Ganges, built around an improvised bansuri solo by Ananda Deep Murli, recorded in his ashram in Varanasi during my journey through India.

A fragile dialogue between flute and silence, it carries the weight of the sacred city: its bells, prayers, and river flow, and turns it into a dreamlike memory.

This track is not only a soundscape but also a testimony: a living fragment of a moment in time, captured like a whisper that would otherwise fade away.

All proceeds from its sales will support the creation of Ananda’s musical ashram in Varanasi, nurturing his vision of a place where music becomes a form of healing.
