"The city's space in the darkest hours isn’t a natural nor streamlined phenomenon. It is an interconnected web of forgotten people, sound, machinery, and nature; true phantasmagoria. It is both calm and distorted, a true thing in itself. We become different people when we are out at night."

THE NIGHT SKIN LIVES is written, produced and mastered by EMÆNUEL. 

EMÆNUEL is a West African artist interested in the dramatic nature of music; blending fragments of ambient, dance and classical. He has previous releases out with the labels All Centre and sound as language.

"Tabula rasa is an imposition. No one chooses to erase everything. Who would choose such an extreme turn? Surprisingly, what we do not choose, what we are forced to accept, becomes our lifeline, a new dogma that allows what was previously unthinkable. Clearing it all is a killer pain but also a painkiller.

I had a fever of 37.5º when I recorded the mix. I felt inside a very narrow mental tunnel where there was only room for intuition. A progressive rise in intensity and temperature for those who would like to tear it all out when they get mad.
