We are very honoured to release the first project by Sioban (https://soundcloud.com/siobann ). The artist, established in France, makes her debut with an ambient two-track EP called ‘Afterglow’.
 
«I remember the wheat fields, the robins and the old rusty scythe,
I imagined dead fish, the beauty of their flesh melting in the water
I remember a shiny gray lake made of rainbow trout flesh.. »

These lines, which define the concept of the project, suggest to us the idea that Sioban had in mind when she was making these songs. Our sense of place is very linked to the memories attached to it. And music is a great partner of our remembrances, it accompanies our contemplation and helps us to go a step further from the sense: the feeling of place.

So we can think of ‘Afterglow’ as a reflection that shines on our memories and emerges from a specific place, which is made from the artist's emotions and thoughts. These can be linked to our own ones and while listening we can evoke that shared wheat fields, although imaginary but not less real.

Random Kingdom is a space of making, remembering, and imagining otherwise. A movement born from the need to create in community, it nurtures co-creation through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and residencies across Europe. Rooted in intersectional feminism, decolonial thought, ecology, and game-making, it moves with fantasy as a tool for collective world-building.
Since its beginning, Random_Kingdom has gathered 250 multidisciplinary artists across Europe, each adding to the weave.—through Artefact Alchemy (Berlin, 2021), ‘The Genesis of The Pearl’ (Paris, 2022), ‘Our Constellation’ (Berlin, 2023) and Queering Nature: The Quest (Berlin & Marseille, 2024), a residency awarded by the Perspektive Fund for Visual Art.
In 2025, under founder, art designer, and community weaver Naomi Cassim, it became a virtual sanctuary—an experimental ‘Map,’ a living network where creatives and communities merge their worlds.
