Deep in the slums of Stratford-upon-Avon, two young upstarts by the name of Samuel Owen (vocals) and Chris McCarthy (guitars) grew tired of the general seriousness of the alternative music scene and decided to pen something a little more light-hearted. In early 2015, they formed a project that currently goes by the name of Lock up your Horses, the name derives from a travelling vagabond who had his horse snatched by the long arm of the law! The pair write a potent mix of songs, ranging from slow, aching doom, party hardcore and even short sharp blasts of power-violence, all delivered with a tongue in cheek lyrical style. Lock up your Horses are looking to recruit other easy-going musicians to slap a smile back on the faces of the average rock fan.
