After deciding a few years ago to pull back from playing live shows, I've been on my own personal journey with music. Going deep into musical theory, learning to play an instrument properly and expanding my music collection to a size that massively out weights anything I had while I was Djing as my regular gig. Sourcing and experimenting with all music styles and trying to figure out a way to get them to work together musically has reignited my love of music and Djing and got me back to the roots of why I started to do it in the first place.

Chasing a music career is a double-edged sword. On one side, it gives so much and — on the other — weighs you down. As people tend to follow and love what you do, it can start to hamper you musically as the weight of expectation starts to mess with your head. Taking some time off has allowed me to focus on myself again, play music because I love it and not let anything else get in the way.

This mix is an embodiment of that process, and one that I thoroughly enjoyed doing.

Plump's & Stanton Warriors - Live World Greatest DJ's (Oct 2008)

The Stanton Warriors have discography about as long as my arm ! Consisting of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley, the duo have performed internationally with their infamous Stanton Sessions parties in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Their name was taken from a manhole cover, made by Stanton Ironworks, which seemed fitting with their style of underground, cutting edge music.

Still touring globally today the duo have cemented themselves in EDM history and known worldwide with over 1 million Facebook fans, their own label Punks Music and a continued devotion to the Breaks and Bass scene.

This mix was aired on Triple J radio Australia back in 2006.

The Autobots are a UK electronic act that in the later part of the 2000's concentrated on the higher tempo of Breakbeat, Tearout Breaks. A high LIVE energy act that recently appeared at a Halloween festival in Spain and also had a new Drum and Bass release through Viper Recordings. This mix takes it back to the good old days when The Autobots were in their prime. < lol :)

This mix was recorded LIVE @ The Fuse 6th Birthday Party at The Roadhouse, Manchester, UK with MC P-Fine and was given away as a FREE CD with Mofo Magazine back in 2005.

With over 2 decades experience as a DJ and Producer Deekline has cemented himself in Breakbeat folklore with a huge back catalogue of music and mixes that can be heard and seen all over the interwebs. With early collaborations with his sidekick and friend Wizard releasing a full album called "Breaks, Beats and Blondes" on Botchit & Scarper Records in 2004. Another one in 2009 and 2 mix compilations.

Nowadays with tracks such as Got to Believe, Deepa and jungle anthem Good to Have the Feelin, with the legendary Tippa Irie, have picked up play and support from DJs such as MistaJam and Annie Mac, on Radio 1 and 1Xtra. Deekline is still doing the EDM business to this day, touring, making music and taking care of the label Hot Cakes.
