Lanx and Nick Slater, aka the Drumattic Twins, have been a leading force in dance music since they first began touring over 20 years ago. Making their name as Shades of Rhythm, they ruled the early nineties rave scene with legendary anthems ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Extacy’ and ‘Homicide’ and performed with the likes of The Prodigy and N-Joi.

Since rebranding themselves as the Drumattic Twins in 1997, Nick and Lanx quickly replicated this global notoriety thanks to the massive hit tracks ‘Feelin Kinda Strange’ ‘Twister’ and ‘HyperSpeed’. They teamed up with the legendary release platform Finger Lickin Records in 1999 and settled quickly into the close-knit world of the breakbeat scene, working alongside global acts such as Plump DJs, Soul of Man and Lee Coombs.

From a string of releases from 1999 starting with top the selling "Feeling Kinda Strange" till late 2013 with their "Get Up and Dance EP" on Sugarbeat Records and 2 full length albums in between the Drumattic Twins have laid down a variety of music that have influenced the Breaks Scene and shaped it in to what it is today.

This mix was aired on Angus Robertson's Money Shot Radio program back in April 2006.

This is the music that really took me around the globe and people associate Krafty Kuts with. For me some, of the most exciting and fresh sounding music has been with the breakbeat scene over the years. Playing to 40,000 people at the Exit Festival, headlining shows across Australia & New Zealand to big Festivals in the UK & Europe, USA & Canada. So many great artists have been a part of the Breaks scene ie. Freq Nasty, Plump DJ's, Stanton Warriors, Adam Freeland, Evil 9, DJ Icey, Deekline, Prodigy, Meat Katie, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Rennie Pilgrem, Soul Of Man, Squarepusher, Pendulum, DJ Zinc & many more are all featured in this podcast. This was a trip down memory lane and I remember watching people lose there mind to so many of these tunes over the years and it's really good to see the Breakbeat scene still flourishing once again.

They won 3 awards at Breakspoll 2009 including, best producer, best track and best remix plus best breaks track at the 2009 Beatport music awards. This mix was at the height of their careers showcasing their talent as a LIVE DJ act as well as containing some of their award winning tracks. What they are up to today i do not know .....

I had a look around on the net and couldn't find it any where but i did download it 13 years ago and kept a copy on one of my hard drives all this time. This DJ mix is from the Electric Gardens Festival back in August 2007 and compliments the A Skillz mix which you will find on the Old Breaks Mixes Soundcloud too. Enjoy !

"Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg. A person who stood for human rights, for gender equality, for being oneself and living one's best life. I am one of many women who have reaped the rewards of being born into - and currently living within - her epic dynasty. 
Though completed before her death this mix is a direct reflection of the freedom and opportunity I, and countless others, have been afforded under her protection. To say and do what we want, and to be who and what we want. To let our freak flag fly and to live our best life. I hope the joy and pure happiness I felt making this mix effectively expresses exactly that. 
We are still here, we matter, and though we may be distant we are most certainly not alone. "This set is our first Flo and Ethan DJ duet. In these troubling times, we wanted to create a musical message of love and connection, of hope, and of positive, peaceful energy.  Musically, it’s deep but upbeat. It’s hopeful and also sad. It’s a celebration of all that we love and a memorial to all those we’ve lost. NAPT were an award winning Breakbeat duo from London UK. They won 3 awards at Breakspoll 2009 including, best producer, best track and best remix plus best breaks track at the 2009 Beatport music awards. This mix was from a web series they put out called "Sessions" back via their web page in 2005. What they are up to today i do not know .....
