One of our absolute favorite places on earth to play…Here is the Audio/Visual Set we performed in the Fractal Forest at the 2013 Shambhala Music Festival!

Originally performed LIVE on 4-turntables alongside our Sax and Guitar players, we've gone back and re-recorded the Saxophone just for this mix!

"When Deckard reached out to us about doing a new mix for The Ripecast, he asked if we would think about doing a Jon H dedication mix. Since we’ve already seen a few Fort Knox Five themed tribute sets by various DJ’s released, we thought it would be fun to pull some older tracks that influenced our sound.  As you may or may not know, in the late 90’s and early 00’s  Jason Qdup aka Jayclue, Jon H and Steve Raskin were in a DC area DJ collective called 308 Crew. It was named after the address of the 308 house that we all used to DJ marathon afterhours sets at, and where we all honed our DJ skills together in the Pre Fort Knox Recordings days. This mix is a retrospective of a lot of late 90’s and 00’s era tracks with a few more modern surprises that we would have rocked in our earlier days DJing. Lots of these tunes were from vinyl and were some of our favorite tunes of the era. We had a blast making it and know this mix would put a huge grin on Jon H’s face." - Qdup

Their first studio album We Control advanced Hyper to the stages of festivals throughout the world. Nowadays Hyper produces music for well known movies and TV shows as well as his own music.

The Funk Hunters Proudly Present: A Shambhala Mixtape

This summer we were blessed with the opportunity to premiere our brand new 4-turntable Audio Visual show at Canada's legendary Shambhala Music Festival! 100% of our set was accompanied with live synchronized handcrafted visuals content and nearly all of the remixes, samples, and acapellas you hear within this mix were first turned into video files and then played live during our set on Friday night in The Fractal Forest.

Now home from summer festivals and about to embark on our Fall North American Tour, we've gone back into the studio to recreate the magic found in the forest that night in the form of this downloadable mixtape, so please DOWNLOAD and SHARE away! Krafty Kuts, real name Martin Reeves is one of the most influential people in the electronic music scene today with experience as a DJ / Producer for more than two decades. Never one to be tied down to a defined genre Krafty has mixed it with the best and has crafted (pardon the pun) the breaks scene in to what it is today. Many artists have come and gone over the years but Krafty is still here leading the way !

This mix was recorded live way back in 2003 ! Thanks to Jamie from Spain for this rare mix.

The Stanton Warriors have disography about as long as my arm ! Consisting of Dominic Butler and Mark Yardley, the duo have performed internationally at festivals and parties in Europe, America, Asia and Australia. Their name was taken from a manhole cover, made by Stanton Ironworks, which seemed fitting with their style of underground, cutting edge music.

This mix is from the era of Nuskool Breaks and produced for Breezeblock radio show back in 2001.

Two of the heavy weight artists that took the breaks movement to the next level would have to be Rennie Pilgrem and BLIM. Rennie considered the godfather of breaks and BLIM with his own unique style as a producer. Both artists providing various anthems over the years and both pushing the sound of breaks to the masses. Where BLIM is these days i do not know but Rennie is back in the studio producing a new album during the lockdown and believe it or not he is releasing it on the legendary TCR Records.

This mix was recorded live at the Breakspoll Awards back in 2005 and it has Rennie & BLIM going back to back with also the vocal talents of MC Chickaboo.
