Desde que empecé a escuchar música electrónica, siempre he tenido algunas canciones que me han marcado de una manera especial. Una de ellas, aunque muy reciente, es 'el track First Love' de Richi Risco, un track que escuché por primera el día de su release en 2022 y que, desde entonces, se quedó grabado en mi mente. Hay algo en esos sonidos, en esa energía tan sutil y contundente a la vez, que me conecta profundamente con lo que amo de la música electrónica.

Hacer mi propia versión de 'First Love' ha sido un proceso muy personal. No se trata solo de reinterpretar una canción que admiro, sino de rendirle homenaje desde mi visión, desde mi sonido. Además,al ser un track original sacado para Whoyostro, un sello en el que he tenido el placer de publicar dos veces, le da un significado aún más especial. Es como cerrar un círculo, pero también abrir uno nuevo.

Espero que esta versión logre transmitir parte de lo que esta canción me hizo sentir desde el primer momento. Y si no la has escuchado aún, te invito a hacerlo: tanto la original como esta reinterpretación. Porque hay amores musicales que, como el primer amor, nunca se olvidan.

Politics Of Dancing returns to their self-titled label with more perfect club bait. 'Fonk' is a breezy, smooth tech house pumper with shape-shifting synths and a nice tightly coiled bassline that are perfectly easy to latch onto a cruise along with. 'Little Freak' brings more colour to some psychedlic synth refrains that loop over the bubbly tech house beats and 'Breaky' has a gritty low end and cosmic pads. It's body music with a future edge and last of all is an Arapu remix which ups the pace a little and brings some sci-fi motifs to a fulsome minimal soundscape.
