Today we are happy to share with you Bas Dobbelaer’s interpretation of Far Blue. The Amsterdam based DJ and producer is known for his distinct style, floating between energies with odd signatures and atmospheric sounds. 

With Echoes, Bas Dobbelaer takes you on an introspective journey where shifting rhythms and immersive atmospheres intertwine, creating a very deep contribution to the series.

“With this mix I tried to find the deeper layer of certain tracks and not limit myself too much with different tempo’s ranges. If it fits the vibe and helping the flow, it’s probably the right spot.

Creating a mix is an interesting creative outlet to discovering new possibilities and refining the art of setting the tone. Balancing on that thin line with endless opportunities, reflects the perfect capture of the feeling and learnings of today.”

A Far Blue concept by Bas Dobbelaer - 'Echoes'

Will You, founder of Oleeva Records and Bristol-based producer and DJ, is one of the few UK artists carving out something distinct within this space of house music. Is It 2 Late is a standout from his latest EP on Berlin-based Stólar, featuring top-tier collaborations with Lb Honne and Orion, and is set for release on vinyl and digital formats on 28 February.
The track carries a raw UK essence, fusing gritty vocal samples with a soft, ethereal flow. Its smooth tempo and euphoric layers come together with ease, offering subtle surprises as it progresses — a testament to Will You’s sharp craftsmanship and his deep understanding of the emotions that reside on the dancefloor.

Will You joins the roster of Philipp Priebe’s Stólar this February with his ‘Is It 2 Late?’ EP accompanied by remixes from Lb Honne and Orion. Producer, DJ and Oleeva Records label boss Will You has been slowly unveiling his take on contemporary deep house and dub-tinged techno over the past few years via solo material and remixes on his own imprint and most recently a remix of Philipp Priebe’s ‘Movements In An Empty Department Store’ on Stólar. Here we see Will You returning to the latter aforementioned imprint with his latest EP. Leading the release is ‘Santé’, a six and a half minute excursion through snaking sub bass tones, a crisp, shuffled rhythm section, dreamy synth chimes, squelchy 303 licks and spoken word vocal lines. Title-cut ‘Is It 2 Late’ follows next and deviates into more dubbed out territory via expansive, unfurling echoes, cinematic atmospherics and robust, intricate percussion. Opening the flip-side is Zurich’s Lb Honne’s interpretation of ‘Is It 2 Late’, the Project Indigo artist extracts the essence of the original and reshapes it into a subtly nuanced, loop-led and hypnotic workout. Italian duo Orion then conclude the package with their take on ‘Santé’, reshaping the original with their signature deep techno style, fuelled by grainy textural components and bumpy saturated drums.

Berlin-based DJ, producer, and mastering engineer Sebastian Genz, better known as @moomin, returns this month with his fourth full-length album on Istanbul-based label Oath. Titled 'Into The Distance', Moomin’s latest album is a mesmerising 10-track journey through the folds of ambient, breakbeat, trip-hop, and deep, melody-rich house music. Rooted in his signature sample-based approach, the album exudes warmth and nostalgia, wrapping listeners in an irresistibly immersive soundscape. Saturday 1st March, Berlin-based record label Stólar hosted a special record release party at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham celebrating the launch of Will You’s first ever physical extended player, 'Is It 2 Late?'. This recording captures Will You's all vinyl DJ set emanating deep and playful vibes. Big up to everyone that attended the in-store it was a truly magical evening.
