Berlin-based DJ, producer, and mastering engineer Sebastian Genz, better known as @moomin, returns this month with his fourth full-length album on Istanbul-based label Oath. Titled 'Into The Distance', Moomin’s latest album is a mesmerising 10-track journey through the folds of ambient, breakbeat, trip-hop, and deep, melody-rich house music. Rooted in his signature sample-based approach, the album exudes warmth and nostalgia, wrapping listeners in an irresistibly immersive soundscape. After just one listen, its hypnotic rhythms and textures leave a lasting imprint, beckoning for repeated plays.

Saturday 1st March, Berlin-based record label Stólar hosted a special record release party at Inverted Audio Record Store in Peckham celebrating the launch of Will You’s first ever physical extended player, 'Is It 2 Late?'. This recording captures Will You's all vinyl DJ set emanating deep and playful vibes. Big up to everyone that attended the in-store it was a truly magical evening.

FITF Mix 001: Will You 

For the first instalment of our mix series ‘Will You’ has curated a beautiful hour long mix and we cant wait to have him join us in the woods this July.

A dedicated purveyor of deep house and dub-tinged techno, Will You spent years honing his craft as a full time resident DJ in Croatia. It was here that he founded his label Oleeva Records and went on to play shows across Europe, the UK and the USA. Since returning to the UK he’s hosted a monthly show on London’s Bloop Radio and continued curating regular releases on Oleeva that span across the spectrum of house and techno. 

He’s a versatile, technical DJ that you may hear playing anything from soothing ambient soundscapes to acid house and deep, heady techno. His own catalogue of productions is growing steadily, with an EP in 2024 on his own imprint, and most recently his “Is it 2 Late?” EP had a physical release on Berlin based Stólar with remixes from Lb Honne and Orion.

Will You unveils his debut album Part of the Picture — a deeply personal collection of 13 tracks that move between ambient meditations and understated deep house and techno excursions, the record feels designed for long journeys, quiet autumn evenings, and the in-between hours when everything softens.

There’s something hypnotic about the way 'Closed Eyes, Gentle Move' unfolds — like walking into a clearing in the woods and realizing the forest is breathing with you. It stands out as one of the album’s heavier moments, aiming to transport you into that hazy, late-night state where the boundary between you and the music dissolves — when it’s enough to simply close your eyes and move gently.

[PREMIERE] | Will You - Closed Eyes, Gentle Move [Oleeva]

Will You, the Bristol-based producer, DJ, and founder of Oleeva Records, consistently captures our attention with his releases. We know he has been developing this particular project for some time, demonstrating patience by allowing it to breathe and returning with fresh perspectives and ideas—a dedication that is clearly reflected in the final output. The album arrives at a perfect moment for introspection, whether you're enjoying a rainy, cosy evening at home, listening to the crackle of leaves underfoot, or venturing onto a smoky dancefloor.

This 13-track album, 'Part of the Picture', covers a significant amount of ground, fully matching Will’s vision. It perfectly aligned with the period for me personally as I was preparing for multiple sets at our annual Delayed getaway in upstate New York. Stylistically it was exactly what I needed: options to travel different paths at different times of the day, using them for everything from gently warming up the dance floor—with tunnels of light shining through the windows—to providing a thoughtful lullaby for dancers on Sunday, when humans became at one with the sofa after many many hours moving their feet.

"Turbo Trip" by name, and a turbo trip it is. This track is squelchy, transcendent, and strikes that sweet spot between deep ambient house and techno. It’s dancefloor-focused - a trip, but with some oomph and turbo (still soft). Hi-hats arrive and immediately pick up the energy. As club season is well and truly in full swing, this is a number that will fill the room with warmth, taking things up a gear while retaining that soft demeanour Will sprinkles over every piece he produces.
