Based in Brussels, Altinbas has been at the forefront of techno production and mixing for the past few years. His acute knowledge of sound design allows him to create layered elements rich enough to allow for minimalism without losing the track’s body. Since his first record release in 2015, his style - naturally - has changed. Almost tribal-like leads evolve over the span of his records, distancing himself from percussion-based arrangements from before to allow for deep and tunneling atmospheres. These records, especially Layers of Compassion on Non-Series’ White sublabel, embody these qualities to create truly hypnotic club music that has found its way in many top selector sets all over the world. 

Altinbas also has a close working relationship with Amsterdam based FLOAT records, being the second artist besides labelhead TWR72 to release on the imprint and continuing to contribute to their boundary-pushing catalogue.

This split release between Frustrated Funk and Indulge Records sees FF head honcho Klen Ovatow reconnecting with Indulge's Oliver Kapp, a link that was established all the way back in the mid/late 90s. Celebrating with a remastered version of Kapp's Piston Rings (ME-01), one of the tracks that kickstarted the Indulge imprint in 1996. His knack for A&R can be heard throughout his cutting-edge sets which not only take you on a journey from one belter to the next but also across the musical spectrum.

This vinyl Techno selection is powerful and packed with punchy basslines and syncopated synths to keep you grooving throughout. Serge’s skill in blending classic with modern allows for a sonic treat.
