The question asked was-If Om Swami could shed some light on what he had said in a blog post where he mentioned that the law of attraction and the law of karma go hand in hand and people doing good can face adversities and sometimes people doing bad things can have good things happening to them in life.

Om Swami says that it is difficult to say things like this person is good or that person is bad as it’s always from an individual’s perspective on what they feel is good or bad, right or wrong. It is difficult to say if something is really wrong and therefore, it’s a futile exercise to classify people in this way. He says, most people can be so blinded by their ego that they cannot see their own mistakes and wrongdoings.
Om Swami says that for the law of attraction to work, one should concentrate on only one thing at a time. It will work for a person who is ready in all other aspects by being prepared. If a person just dreams about something without putting any effort then there will be no manifestation. When a person with a complete one-pointed focus determinedly works day and night towards their dream without accepting defeat, then the universe at some point materializes it in their world.

Link Between Law of Attraction and Karma - [Hindi]

The question is- We say that the divine works through an individual and we also say that doing one’s karma is one’s own responsibility, then where does the divine will and our doer ship start and end.

Om Swami says that when one person comes into another person’s life which results in them not liking the things starting to happen in their life, as they have no control over it, then it is their prarabdh karma. Whenever we step into someone’s life, it is that person’s prarabdh and new karma is born. Whenever one does something as they want to do it, then they are creating new karma. Om Swami says that results of prarabdh karma need not always be from previous lifetimes. Sometimes one can get the result in the same lifetime and it all depends on what kind of actions they did. He says, whatever is in our hands, the responsibility for that too remains only with us and we cannot say that it is divine will. If a person has done an action then that action has been done by that person alone. The blame cannot be shifted to someone else saying that they had influenced them. For one’s thought is their own and only they themselves own it. The more one’s thinking progresses the better will their actions be. For its one’s thought which influences all actions ultimately.

Are You Responsible For Your Karma Part 1 - [Hindi]

Two questions have been answered by Om Swami in this discourse.
The first question asked was- Ma Janaki has been given different versions in different languages and in scriptures like Ram charit Manas and in some other scriptures too. What is the real truth about the birth of Goddess Sita?
Om Swami says that Ma Janaki was king Janak’s daughter. He further says that there are two ways of seeing things. Either we believe that the scriptures are true or we think that it is fictional. In both Ramayana and Mahabharata the person who played an important role was found in a box. In Ramayana Janaki Ma was found in a box while king Janak was tilling the land. In Mahabharata Karna was floated away by his mother in a box. Without both of them the battle that took place may not have happened he says. The Ramayana and the Mahabharata were written in metre form so that memorising was easy. But still passing it on in the oral form could have resulted in minor errors. So it is difficult to say if Ma Janaki was found in a box in the ground, but nevertheless Ma Janaki was none other than the universal mother he says.
Om Swami says that for him everyone who was connected to Shri Ram in any way was only shri Ram - the people who were killed by him and those who were with him. All of them are worthy of worship and this is the sentiment that gives him great happiness.
The second question asked was- If Om Swami could shed some light on the term biological father Vs spiritual father.
Om Swami says that just like a biological father will want their children to do well and do good, similarly a spiritual father wishes the same. Though the sentiments are the same, it’s a different kind of relationship. The difference is that a spiritual father takes on a disciple’s karma by seeing if it can be distributed over lifetimes or can be taken care of at one go so that the person attains liberation. This right to take on the karma has been given by the lineage, the rishis, and our scriptures says Om Swami.

Living Life By Your Personal Philosophy - [Hindi]

The intoxication of spiritual happiness that was showering upon everyone is something that's inconceivable. Just by speaking about this pastime, just by hearing about this pastime with a sincere and faithful heart, we can be transformed forever. As they were all singing and dancing together, Advaita's sons were rejoined with him. Jahnava Devi was seeing her beloved Nityananda again, after so many years. In the Bhakti Ratnakar and Narottam Vilas, this beautiful story is described in great detail. And then, they all disappeared and everyone could understand that the lord in separation, they were forever connected with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. And then Jahnava Devi, in a simple way, she cooked for all the devotees and arranged the serving of all the devotees. And she arranged a Holi festival, where everyone would see the deities installed beautifully, sprinkled with natural colors. And this was the first Gaura Purnima festival.

We see in their house very beautiful deities of Gaur Nitai, Jagannath, Baladev, Subhadra, very nice sadhana. Not only do they perform their occupational duties in a very honest and exemplary way, but also, they come to the temple practically every day, eager to chant, worship the deities, render service, always eager to serve vaisnavas, invite them to their homes; devotional service, in any varna or any asrama, is the perfection of life. Therefore, sincere and honest devotees are not so concerned with simply the external appearances, but they are concerned with the aspiration that a person has in life. If people are living by the regulative principles, according to their varna and asrama, with the motivation of devotional service, that is worshipable by everyone.
