Burn in the Forest/What If -Burning Man Vancouver Regional event

If you caught me mixing in the summer of 2021, I probably played something like this. Thanks to all who decided to put me on a stage, and thanks to all who danced in front of those stages. I hope this mix helps revisit all the fun we had this summer.

Blondie is a energetic vibrant girl who is smart, agile, bubbly and can adapt her musical sound to fit any genre you throw at her. Born through twitch stream parties, playing back to back with all her beautiful talented friends and digging through virtual crates to find new fresh songs that make her dance and sing her heart out. Blondie’s sound is round bass, warm vocals, melodic rushes of adrenaline that make your heart full and your booty shake.

Melodic Progressive Techno || No Sunday Scaries

I intended this mix to bring the dark to light. Booked as the opening slot Friday morning around 6am amid dust storms, it felt appropriate that I start with darker techy shit, then move into hopeful grimy shit, then evolve into hip hop influenced tech house. This progression was effective and had the dance floor, full of people now grooving, whom weren't there when I started, jumping in sync against the weight of the pre-storm white-out.

This mix is special because as the inevitable fell upon us in the form of rain, and dust storms swept across Esplanade in fearful anticipation of the impending precipitation, I was lucky enough to choose and play songs perfectly appropriate songs, before we got drenched. Songs by Justin Martin which Encouraged our dance floor to remember that the "sun will rise again" and that some storms weren't meant to break you, no, they were "meant to build you!"

And as the dust cleared, the Bubbles and Bass dance floor filled itself with the courageous and those who braved the elements were rightly rewarded with champagne infused Bubbles. and Bass.

If you missed out, don't worry. It was better next year.

Here is a live recording from 04.27.2024 Team Yellow Presents: Organic House/Downtempo at Opaline. I had a lot of fun playing styles of house music I'm not known to play out much. It was a vibe and I'm glad I was able to capture the moment. Much appreciation for everyone who made it out. Enjoy!

It has been forever and a day (or at least a fair while) since I posted an Erotica Electronica set. This one in particular is very dear to my heart. 

Erotica Electronica: Victoria XXI - somehow our little collective keeps getting more and more dynamic. These sounds are inspired by wild togetherness, dream weaving, radical inclusively, courageous expression, re-remembering, and raw fucking magical eros.
