The English saying "We're all going to Hell in a hand-cart" just about describes my mood when I wrote "Descent". It was one of those weeks in northern hemisphere Spring 2024 when there was absolutely no good news coming in from anywhere on the planet.

I trust that things will get better!

I tried to convey the horrors of war, of what soldiers endure by committing atrocities they did not choose, of what they see every day, to the point of driving some of them to suicide. They are also victims of war, because they did not choose it, nor the orders they receive.
