For the past years, a few friends from the Dutch city of Haarlem have explored musical boundaries and tested sonic limits to bring you this selection of new psychedelic songs of soul. We aimed to have a specific quality and atmosphere to the music for this release. A quality that this style of music inspired us to aspire. Through the years, inspirations shift, Sounds change, rhythms evolve, understanding broadens, definition expands, hearing improves... Thusly, we have strived to make something beautiful that hopefully propels this further. And share with you some of our explorations in music. Through some unconventional recording techniques, obscure sound sources and countless nights of deep sound exploration, there is a lot of care and efforts to be discovered within these tracks. Been inspired by Om Unit for absolute years — so it’s a real honour to get the call-up for Acid Dub Versions III.

Om Unit presents Acid Dub Versions III, the third set of remixes of material taken from all three volumes of his legendary Acid Dub Studies album trilogy. The album celebrates the legacy of the acid dub project with a high-caliber set of remixes. These include such prolific luminaries as Daniel Avery, Satoshi Tomiie, Richard Fearless (Death in Vegas), Tadd Mullinix (as Dabrye/Ghostly International) and Tilliander (TM404/Mokira/Kontra-music).

Portland-based dub generals Alter Echo and E3 (of BSI Records and ZamZam Sounds fame) and UK dance pioneer Bok Bok (Night Slugs) join forces with newer faces like Beatrice M (Tectonic/Tempa), Dubrunner (Menace), Azu Tiwaline (Livity Sound), N1_Sound (Spiritual World), Krotone (Of Paradise/Challenger Deep), Piezo (Subaltern/Hundebiss), RS Tangent (Trilogy Tapes) and lowkey noise/techno/ambient polymath Misseterspoon (Avon Terror Corps).

A 3 track label debut here from Absolar, and its a cracker!

The title track 'Forever Fusion' is a pounder, with lashings of Acid throughout!

'Tar Pit' continues with the Acid, but on a more hypnotic vibe, while 'Auger' finishes up the EP in style.

A great debut EP, and we look forward to hearing more from this chap in the future!
