For episode 02 of our Onderons mix series, we’ve asked one of our resident DJs to select some tunes for us. Another experienced contributor to our scene which we all know too well: TOMHAS. 

From the age of 12 @tomhas started collecting music and gear, which got him to play a lot of all round parties back in the days. But it was later when he started to discover the existing of clubs, that he got hooked on house, techno and the more minimalistic music. 

 Over the last 15 years he shared line-ups with some of the greatest DJ’s in the game. Both international craftsman as local hidden gems who share the same love for the somewhat more underground music. 

He has an eye for new talents which is best captured by the impressive list of artists he booked for projects like Circo Inferno, Spectakulo, Roti, … and now Onderons.

The compilation "Get Together" enters a new round and gathers four artists to take a journey into electronic music together again. Maxie König opens the gathering with warm basses and sparkling chords in her track "TenTen". The unmistakable groove immediately carries us away and drives us straight onto the dance floor, where the no less deep track "Dezest" by Dip resounds through the speakers. Here we float on the smooth strings of the recurring sound waves, which one can hardly resist. Ana Antonova takes up this beautiful flow in her fascinating track "Naked Neighbour" and adds jazzy melodic elements that are interwoven with original sounds to create a fabulous, versatile sound story. Finally, Cie picks up the bass and groove again and reflects the wonderful atmosphere of this gathering with the harmonic strings in "Haus Im Turm", making you want to put this record on „again“ and „again“.

Alexincase is a sonic psychonaut that oscillates between experimental, clasic, repetitive and always surprising worlds of sound. His style knows no boundaries as he adapts his selections live, depending on the moment, the public and, of course, the energy created.

He stands out with hypnotic soundscapes that really take you in an adventure at the boundary between dream and reality, where illusions of the night are dispelled. His sets can be described as sentimental layers of sounds that have the ability to work their way into peoples’ minds, leaning on deepness and a large spectrum of sound interventions.

Although the Antwerp based Maxime aka Twelve Clouds is fairly new, he is someone who has already created major waves in our scene.   After years of studio solitude, he’s beginning to get his breakthrough in the releasing landscape. Aside from signing respected labels such as Purism, Daydream, Slowdy Mowdy and Hoary, he’s also a booker and creative director for The Sub and runs his own recordlabel called Miracle Juice.  

Enjoy @twelvecloudsmusic 70 minutes long mix he made for us. Filled with subby baselines, hip moving grooves and deep infiltrated pads.
