The upcoming Summer Split 2 EP from Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant label assembles five tracks that help crystallize her vision of primitive sound: an emerging movement that reclaims the visceral roots of club music. Tempos are kept low, and lurching rhythms, dub-heavy basslines, and unsettled, sleek synths combine to hypnotic effect. Slowed-down Italo, industrial, Belgian new beat, and electro pop all converge. The five artists featured on Correspondant’s 29th release, due out on July 21, each provide a unique angle on the label’s burgeoning discography.

With dance music's hottest Dutch date just around the corner, it's time to get excited with the hotly anticipated OneFold DGTL ADE 17' LP. This year, the label's annual homage to some of it's hottest new releases kicks off with a confident cut from Ryan Shepherd, 'Hip-Hop-Loco'. Not one for playing it safe, this spunky sound keeps interests hooked with its eclectic palette of percussion and samples. Setting the scene for what's to come, Shepherd's pounding undercurrent sets the trend for big bass hitters from the likes of Joaquin Koen with his heavy funk 'Classic Style' and Fraser Whelan & Jacque Saraventé, who smash it out the park with their thrusting, upbeat 'Pump Out The House'.

Other highlights include Electrik Cat's rolling arrangements in his easy listening mover 'Making Music', darting synths and low, gritty sounds from Carl Antony's 'Diddy Bom', and 'Who Got Your Back', showcasing the talents of Luke Hassan with its distorted vocal loops and atmospheric top lines.

Also featured are LATECOMER & ALBT, who carve out a proper big room banger with epic vocal builds and full bodied bass, and Wobble&BlackArt, who bring the record to a spectacular close with their fresh underground sound, 'Hurting Bombs', a multifaceted, beat led cut with vintage speech samples and grisly percussion. 

An epic start to the industry's hottest event.
