‘Born To Rock And Roll’ is a nostalgic journey of rock music through the generations and genres. Music has always had a special connection with me and has to a great extent shaped my life...I have chosen 20 great tracks, some which I have redone from scratch to give them more energy and lift them to a higher level of musical harmony...So I hope you enjoy these songs again. 

The title track ‘Born to Rock and Roll’ is a song by Cliff Richard released in 1992 from his ‘My Kinda Life’ Album and the lyrics of the song have some resemblance to my musical journey. I have recorded another song by Cliff Richard ‘We Say Yeah’ (1961) from the movie ‘The Young Ones’, which is another of my favourites...

‘Roadhouse Blues’ by the Doors (1970) is a new version...again more experience and guitar skills has allowed me to be more creative this time around, so I hope you also enjoy this one again... 

Other rock and roll tracks include ‘Just A Girl’ by No Doubt (1995) from their third studio album ‘Tragic Kingdom’, ‘Nothing but A Woman’ By the Robert Cray Band (1986), Two songs by Buddy Holly ‘Oh Boy’ (1957) and ‘Rave On’ (1958). ‘Sea Cruise’ is a song written and sung by Huey Smith and His Clowns in 1971.  

‘I’m Gonna Be Warm This Winter’ by Connie Francis (1962), ‘Why Did It Have to Be Me’ By Abba (1976) is a new version, so I hope you enjoy this one again. ‘Singing the Blues’ by Guy Mitchell (1956), ‘Cest la Vie’ by B*Witched (1998).

Other rock classics include ‘Long Cool Woman’ by the Hollies (1972), ‘Honky Tonk Woman’ by the Rolling Stones (1969), ‘This Ole House’ by Shakin’ Stevens (1981), ‘I Only Wanna Be with You’ by the Bay City Rollers (1976).

A bit of Disco with Yvonne Elleman’s ‘If I Can’t Have You’ (1977), ‘Ballroom Blitz’ by The Sweet (1974) and ‘Rev It Up’ By Jerry Harrison and the Casual Gods (1988). To finish of the Album a very special song by Dr Hook and the Medicine Show ‘The Cover of the Rolling Stone’ (1972), which is an old favourite of mine...

This Album covers songs from 1956 to 1998, so I hope it brings back memories or a new listening experience and you enjoy this collection of good old fashioned ‘Rock & Roll’...

This album is ‘The Glory Of Love’ which is my 56th Album and consists of specially selected love ballads that takes you on a nostalgic journey through the years… from 1936 to 2025. 

‘The Glory Of Love’ is a song written by Billy Hill and recorded in 1936 by Benny Goodman. It was the signature theme of the 1967 film ‘Guess Who's Coming to Dinner’.

‘On A Slow Boat to China’ is a popular song by Frank Loesser, published in 1948. The biggest hit version was recorded by Emile Ford and the Checkmates in 1960.

‘This Magic Moment’ is a song composed by lyricist Doc Pomus and pianist Mort Shuman. It was first recorded by The Drifters, with Ben E. King singing lead.and released on 28 Jan 1960.

‘Smile A Little Smile for Me’ is the debut single by the Flying Machine. The song was written by Geoff Stephens and Tony Macaulay and released on April 11, 1969.

‘Teenage Queenie’ is a song by Dutch Band Pussycat. It was released in 1981 from their Album ‘Take A Look At Me’.

‘It Only Hurts When I Cry’ is a song co-written by American country music artists Dwight Yoakam and Roger Miller and was released in December 1991.

‘I Can’t Laugh When You’re Sad’ (Ich kann nicht lachen, wenn du traurig bist) is a song by German artist Linda Feller released on 10 Aug 2022 on the Album of the same name.

‘Sha La La’ is a song written by Robert Mosely and Robert Taylor. A cover by the British pop group Manfred Mann would follow that October, being the most notable version of the song.

‘Wrapped Up In Your Love’ is a song by the band Inner Circle and was released in 1993 from their Album ‘Bad To The Bone’.

‘Around The World’ is a song by artist Trini Lopez and was released in 1958 from his Album ‘The Lonesome Road’.

‘Quello che mai più scorderai’ is a song by Italian artist ‘Little Tony’ and was released in Feb 2014 from his Album ‘I Grandi Successi di Little Tony’.

‘Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying’ is a song written by Gerry Marsden, Freddie Marsden, Les Chadwick and Les Maguire, the members of British beat group Gerry and the Pacemakers. 

‘A Man Without Love’ is an adaptation of the Italian song "Quandro m'innamoro"  It was eventually adapted into English and became a hit single for British singer Englebert  Humperdinck.

‘Coming Home’ (Polizzi; Natili; Ramoino; Pasalaque) From Magic Night, 1991. It was released by Engelbert Humperdinck from his Album ‘Träumen mit Engelbert 2’in 1991.

‘Why’ is a song first performed by artist Frankie Avalon and was written by Bob Marcucci and Peter De Angelis. It was made popular by Anthony Newly who released as a single in Jan 1960.

‘Winter World of Love’ is a song recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and was released on his eponymous album and as a single in 1969.

‘Two Different Worlds’ is a popular song with music by Al Frisch and the lyrics by Sid Wayne, published in 1956. The British pop singer Engelbert Humperdinck also covered the song on his 1967 album ‘The Last Waltz’.

I Don't Care" is a song by the British singer Helen Shapiro and was released as a single in the early 1960s. The song is also included on some of her compilation albums.

‘Schöner fremder Mann’ is the fourth German single recorded by American artist Connie Francis. It was released on Mar 15, 1961.

‘Love Can Fly’ is a song recorded by Engelbert Humperdinck and was released on his 1969 album, also titled ‘Engelbert’.

‘See You Again’ is the debut single by American singer Miley Cyrus. It was released as the first single from Meet Miley Cyrus (2007).

‘Sweet Sweet Sina’ is a song by German artist Wolfgang Hanke. It was released in 2024 from their Album of the same name.

‘End of the World’ is a song by American singer Miley Cyrus. It was released on April 3, 2025, as the lead single from her ninth studio album, ‘Something Beautiful’ (2025). 

‘Whitney Houston Medley’ consists of three songs by American artist Whitney Houston: 
Greatest Love Of All, I Will Always Love You and Saving All My Love For You.
