Oniris- Meharee Ep

 ‘Meharee’ is bracing ride across the Arabic desert. Literally translating to camel ride, Oniristeleports into the furthest corners of the earth’s most alien, unforgiving landscapes and wraps up in a whirlwind of neysand cosmic synths, the rolling percussion matching the camel’s ebbing, flowing trek. 

Oniris’s drama takes a darker twist on ‘Capacocha’. Barbed with an insurgent bassline, we twist and turn through turbulent techy terrains. Focus switching between the twinkling arpeggio and haunted oboe tones, momentum is maintained throughout. 

We close with ‘Landscapes’. The soothing yin to ‘Capacocha’s raging yang: the classical piano refrain creates an instant emotional tie with as it spirals and cascades in a cinematic language that has been universal for centuries. Timeless... The perfect way to leave us wanting more.

There's not really much else to say about this one. The names dropped in the title alone lets your ears know what they're in store for.

Detroit's Burden brothers, more commonly known as Octave One, have been making classic techno from their roots since 1990 – and, much to our pleasure, have continued to produce, DJ and play sensational live sets as though no time has passed. 25 years on, their music still fuels the dancefloors of 2nd gen. techno lovers, as well as being picked up and reworked by modern dance music's most valuable players –  of which Paul Woolford is most certainly one.

When asked about his "Lose Myself" rework, Paul shared that Octave One and their 430 West label "have been inspirations to me for so many years. We met through mutual friends and immediately connected, following various gigs together globally. It was an honour to be invited to work on something for the Detroit label. My intention was to bring out the soulful edge of Octave One's sound and place it within the framework of a track that would work towards the end of the night." Let the music speak for itself is a well known saying. It might be very applicable for this next release on Cinematique but nevertheless we will give you a short introduction.

One man who needs actually no introduction though is Teho. Our friend from France is unstoppable at this moment, making stunning tunes one after another. You can find his music and remixes on labels like Manual Music, Parquet recordings, Particles and more recently on Cinematique as well with his remix for Ben Stecker ft. Motsfeld. For this EP he teams up with his long time friend In-DikA. A relatively new name although he has done some proper releases before on Dreadful League and Clubstream Green for instance.

Together, In-DikA & Teho have produced some pure magic for this 'Mathematics EP'. Three brilliant originals full of everything you would expect from real melodic techno. As this was not enough yet, two of the tracks are remixed by the ever inspiring Mondkrater and newcomer Mark Höffen.

French citizen Olivier Mateu stands for sophisticated and musical techno music, released on imprints like F Com, Mobilee and Systematic. His productions always have a certain 'something' which a many producers cannot deliver, fuelled by passion and love.

'Mistral' was originally released on the '10 yrs of Systematic' compilation on CD only, but after a massive public demand it was clear that it must be released on vinyl and backed by new remixes.

Who else could we chose but the labels most popular artists, label head Marc Romboy and Stephan Bodzin. Reworking the original in their own unique way, both deliver epic, energetic and symphonic versions!!!
