So I know at this point theres been 10 million Kanye remixes, and remixes of Kanye remixes, and mashups of Kanye remixes but...I just had to do one.  The Chainsmokers at this point need no introduction but in case you've been living deep, deep under a rock for the past couple years they are a couple dudes from NYC (where I live) who have very nice hair and who make really amazing tunes.  The best remixes always start with the best originals and The Chainsmokers absolutely crushed this one with an amazing vocal from SirenXX, which was a blast to work with.  

Siren's vocal to me has a great indie vibe and is unusual for a progressive house track, so I tried to stay true to that with the remix and compliment the vocal with a really clean and stripped down breakdown that leaves a lot of space in the mix.  Throw in a catchy piano house riff and a melodic drop and I couldn't be happier with how this one turned out.  As the guys said when they dropped the original - "This song is about doing you, living life how you want to live it and not giving a fuck what anyone else thinks. Its about owning your shit and being happy with your life, no matter the circumstances, rich or poor, skinny or fat, young or old its about exuding confidence" - so I hope this remix keeps that vibe alive for you for just a little bit longer.
