Kid Drama returns to his label for the first time this year after the well received Ideal Form EP, he continues with his trademark infused mix of autonomic and 90s tech step to create the 2010 Again EP.

Pivot is an 8 minute journey which goes against the current disposable, quick hit club style tunes of today. Drawn out like a long unfolding trip, which could quite easily be the lovechild of Matrix and Krust, the progessive bass stabs and zaps build without any breakdown over the
span of the track. A hypnotic almost technolike offering.

Following the release of his brilliant debut album on Ant TC1’s seminal Dispatch Recordings imprint, Italian mastermind Dabs has personally curated a fresh, energised take on the ‘Wormatic’ LP, which firmly stated its case as one of the finest sonic odysseys of 2019. Now, he utilises that collective, widespread network to bring together one of our favourite, most varied remix EP’s of the year, handpicking messers HLZ, Nymfo, Hybris, Kyrist and Kiril from the Dispatch roster to make their mark on a selection of carefully selected ‘Wormatic’ cuts, as well as bringing through his own extended mix of the stellar ‘Martini’, the latter of which we’ve had the pleasure of premiering for you today.

Originally arriving in the format of a jazzy, funk-inspired interlude on the original LP, ‘Martini’ captured hearts and minds with its playful, meandering live instrumentation and rustic, Italia-aesthetic. Now, all freshly updated and reworked, Dabs has switched things up, setting the pace with a brand new, full-length remix that draws for a number of pinpoint new elements, whilst retaining all the wonderful groove of the original.

For the ‘Wormatic Remixes EP’ Dabs has hand-picked 5 of his favourite Dispatch artists, and personal friends to remix some of the biggest tunes from his debut album.

Carefully matching his chosen remix artist with the vibe of each track, Dabs’ has curated a stellar line up featuring HLZ, Nymfo, Hybris, Kyrist and Kiril, each adding their own flare and depth the tunes.

Completing the EP is an extended mix of Martini, a drum funk heavy interlude from the original EP that has been crafted into a killer full-length track, with all the flavour of the original and more.

It gives us great pleasure to welcome back one of the label’s very good friends, Neve! 

With his latest release on Unchained, Neve expresses more of his own well-crafted brand of concrete funk, militant breaks and modern sound sculpture. 

At times the Flowrida EP verges on the edge of that classic old school feel, harking back to imprints such a Reinforced or Bingo, yet at other times it takes a journeyed walk across various branches of the electronic music tree. Unambiguously dancefloor, the EP spans halftime, mid-tempo breakbeat - with his collaboration with Samurai Breaks, and two tracks of unapologetically raw Drum and Bass. 

“I just feel the vibe. If I want to make a hardcore thing, it’s okay. If I want to do deep, it’s okay. I try and include elements of UKG, house, reggae dub things I love. I’m just trying to find a balance of mixing together all the styles.” - Neve 

A strong four track release, Flowrida has something for both the flourishing return to rave community and the young Junglist alike.
