My first recorded set. 

I recorded this at my home on my Denon's.

Felt really good to be able to execute some smooth transitions and techniques that I've learnt from some maestros I'm lucky enough to be friends with!!

The song dedicated to Ricky paints a poignant, sorrowful picture of a plane crash into water. As the story of the song unfolds, the music shifts, reflecting the turbulence and rising tension. The piano is joined by a somber string section, its notes rising in intensity, mirroring the plane's descent into chaos. The orchestration builds, capturing the unsettling sound of alarms and the frantic efforts to regain control, blending with the rush of wind and the roar of engines straining under pressure.

When the plane meets the water, the music reaches its emotional peak with a thunderous clash of drums and crashing cymbals, symbolizing the violent impact and the ensuing turmoil. Growing up in SoCal, ØNYXUS fell in love with Heavy Metal and learned to play guitar. He’s inspired by deep hypnotic elements that take listeners for a ride. Inspired by bands like TOOL, Gojira, The Ocean Collective, he gravitated towards psychedelic and powerful music in the electronic realm.

His love for Techno and Psy-Trance led him on a journey to find music that blended these two elements in a darkly entrancing mood to enchant his listeners.

Absorbing knowledge and getting inspired by Triforce, Schysto, Tilda, Illume, Keith Carnal, and Fabio Leal, ØNYXUS mixes Psychedelic Techno with Zenonesque elements, in the Dark and Forest Prog world. Now a resident DJ for the LA psychedelic underground powerhouse, Subterranean Dwellers, his goal is to deliver a captivating performance with music that he loves, share it with dancers from all over, and even introduce newcomers to a new reality in the psychedelic musical genre!

Here to share music in the Psy-Techno, Zenonesque, and Psychedelic spectrum. Let’s take a journey through a dark and beautiful path into the unknown with ØNYXUS.
