I had really the best time playing there in this secret magical forest clearing, taking in the incredible sweet vibes of the tribe-friends enjoying there. Dancing, chilling, stretching, making out or just hanging out enjoying some delicious chai and delicious company. The Spirits of the Forest where mingling there with us for sure. It was truly beautiful.  🐸🦉🐛🪶🐾🍄🍀🌞🌸🔥✨

I want to say a big thank you to the Uhrla Tribe, and especially to Sara for inviting me into your festival and company to share my sound and energy with you all. I feel very grateful and honored, and I am still tingling with a sweet crush on my new Swedish tribe-friends. 💜

I also want to send a big thank you to Dj Fada and Kalya Scintilla from Merkaba Records for so generously sending me the new Kalya Scintilla album Mumijo before the release date so that I could play some of the incredible tracks in this set.  Wow! That was really an honor to receive.  🧡

In this set I play many new downtempo and psychill tracks and some of my more old time favorites like Dragon's Mist by Desert Dwellers - Kaminanda remix, Behind The Veil by Makyo, and Hollow by Oco - Balancé remix. 🔥

I also play 2 of my own psy chill tracks: Hidden Gates and Shamanic Trance State, and my remix of Eivør’s legendary song Trøllabundin. And it was the first time I played the latter in a festival, and how amazing to see, hear and feel your response. Thank you so much!   🐺 🐺 🐺

Johnny Blue comes from Cyprus. He started dj-ing 16 years ago.His first influence was rock and especially psychedelic rock (Pink Floyd, Ozric Tenatcles etc). In 2000 he got into the electronic scene with the main interest in chill out and psychedelic trance music. Being influenced by several music cultures (rock,dub,reggae,electronica, psy-trance, chillout), Johnny created a unique style by blending smoothly various styles of music, sending the listeners to a colourful and sensational journey through sounds. Johnny is one of the senior representatives on the launch , establishment and uprising of Cyprus’ psychedelic music scene. In 2011 Johnny joined Mikelabella Records and he works as A/R Manager. His first VA compilation under the name “Planet Blue” was released on December 2012 and VA blue moon in April 2014. In early 2013 he became a label DJ in Peak Records. Also, he is a resident DJ at Digitally Imported Psychill (di.fm/psychill) with his radio series “Psylent Harmony” which is broadcasted every third Sunday. Johnny Blue has various international appearances in countries like UK, Germany, Portugal, Croatia , Morocco, Turkey and Russia among others, presenting dj sets in parties and festivals like Boom , Antaris, Lost Theory, Transahara, Mo:Dem, Psy Fi and more.

This DJ set was presented @ Dragon Dreaming Festival 2018 in Wee Jasper, Australia, NSW. The starting time of the set was at 2.30 am - 4.30 am on the early Monday morning. Play after our dear friend Sumiruna. The night was balmy and the dance floor was in a good spirit to dance all night long and digging the sound that I was playing to them.
 I would like to pay my respects to the Ngunnawal and Wiradjuri people to let us play on their sacred land. 
A big shout out goes to the organizers of Dragon Dreaming Festival for the effort they do every year to create an amazing playground and a high standard festival and the amazing crowd that kept dancing, grooving and cheering throughout the set.

Please enjoy our DJ mixes featuring various artists in various styles and the show cases of our own music (also in various styles). OOOD (aka Out Of Our Depth) will be a familiar name to both those with long memories, and to relative newcomers to Psychedelic trance ( and many other genres). Formed in the UK in 1994 and with 4 members since 2001 (Colin, Steve, Rama, Ryokan), they've been around for as long as there's been psytrance and have worked with many of the names and labels from the scene's long history, as well as producing some of Goa Trance's classic tracks on labels like Flying Rhino, Phantasm and Matsuri. A few quiet years in the early 2000s saw them retreat to the Stooodio after their first two albums were caught up in the bankruptcy of two different distributors but they never gave up, and their eclectic third album 'Free Range' (Organic, 2006) was regarded by many reviewers as one of the very best psytrance releases that year. Two years later they released 'Fourthought' (Phar Psyde, 2008), an 80-minute psychedelic journey through downtempo, breaks, electro, blues and a varied selection of psytrance; again the album attracted '11/10 A+' reviews and saw them consolidate their place as one of the few acts from the birth of the scene who are still actively contributing. Recent releases have seen them reach high positions in various download charts, with their Oddball EP (Broken Robot, 2010) reaching #1 on Trackitdown and #13 on Beatport. Their fifth album 'You Think You Are' was released on Vertigo Records in late 2012.

As well as the originality, sense of fun and excellent production they bring to their releases, OOOD have been praised for their live sets since their London debut in 1995. Now, with four people in the band they are unique for the way they use live instruments (guitar, drums, keyboards, percussion) as an integral part of their live set, and have gained a reputation for both the power and quality of their live sound, and the vibrancy of their performances. Events such as Boom (Portugal), Universo Paralello (Brazil), Fusion (Germany), Glade (UK) and Vortex (South Africa), and many others in Japan, Russia and across Europe and elsewhere are seeing how OOOD and their side-projects create a unique energy and connection with the audience. OOOD shroom live is different every time but these guys know what they're doing and they put on a hell of a show.

OOOD have been surfing the wave of their creativity for over 23 years now and have been described as having "matured and improved with time, in the manner of a fine wine" (Axis Mundi). Their mission has always been to have a good time, spread a little joy and write the best tunes they can; if you've heard them or seen them recently you'll know just how well they are succeeding.
