For the Floor is strictly aimed at the dance floor and showcases CE regulars alongside new artists with EPs incoming from DeFeKT, Rico Casazza, Tripeo, Cycloplex, Steve Allman, Alex Jann, Cyphon, Obzerv, Maelstrom and Sync 24 x Alienata.

Hot on the heels of his latest release on the mighty Tresor, Irish Electro king and CE regular DeFeKT kicks off the series with 2 dancefloor destroyers. "Control Your Mind" rips through with harsh distorted 808s and booming vocals while "Fear and Body" is a spooky, funky electro groover perfect for dark basements. On the flip, CE welcomes back Rico Casazza to the label. Rico continues the electro funk vibes with "Home Here Us", slick beats and a bubbly bass line lay down the backbone of this peak time banger. Things then go deep, trippy and acidic with "Caldo" , a rolling robotic groove made for the club

A thick cloud of pale yellow smoke billed out of the test tube, filling the clinical-looking, white washed room with a bitter odour that bristled the hairs on your nostrils. Different experiments took place at each table in the laboratory, trials and tests that came with equally positive and negative results. In their small lab-coat adorned groups, they clustered around their equipment with inquisitive expressions and furrowed brows, concocting special potions and medicines for motives we knew not.

Do you love acid? If the answer is yes, well this is the record for you. Cologne imprint Minimood Extra - the offshoot of Minimood - are charging into 2023 arm in arm with an old label mate, David Hausdorf and his new vinyl-only EP ACID. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Unlike his previous deep dives into dub techno and Detroit-influenced sounds, the Berlin native (who is also a cellist for Munich Philharmonic Orchestra!) explores the wonders of the 303, fashioning four hypnotic tracks centred around squelching acid lines and paired with electro and techno influences.

This is a reissue of a short-lived and obscure UK dance music label. A compilation of tracks featured on releases across 3 EP’s between 1991 and 1993 incorporating recently emergent dub techno and progressive acid house sounds. Nation of Noise was conceived in the early 90's, following a meeting of minds between the producer Django and vocalist Jon Martin at the legendary Soho institution: The Brain. 

Plate 1 is a fully remastered reissue of the first Nation of Noise record - Xes Noiz, featuring 4 locked grooves. 

Plate 2 takes two tracks off both the Lockgroove and Super Bubble EP's. One side is smooth, after-hours deep house whilst the other reaches for two progressive, acid cuts. 

Fun facts: 

- Feel the Joy received airtime by Jon Peel on Radio 1 and Elvis Stole My Space Hopper was a favourite of Colin Faver and Colin Dale on KISS FM 
- Kris Needs awarded Xes Noiz record of the week in NME, putting it in the same group as Weatherall and Aphex! 
- Riley Reinholdt raved about Xes Noiz in legendary German publication Spex and travelled to U.K. to interview Jon and Django. 
- Piano Tilt was a playlist favourite of Derrick May 
- Progressive acid house pioneers like Scott Hardkiss began lauding the Nation of Noise imports on the West-Coast sound systems of the San Francisco Bay Area. 
- The A3 of Xes Noiz was a minor hit on the emerging jungle/breakbeat scene. DJ's used to pitch it up before Metalheadz and Photek really defined that abstract sound. 

Nation of Noise 91 - 93 is the first of many records to be released by Seven Hills.
