Storming into 2022 with a flurry of high-octane remixed from a stellar array of artists, Anfisa Letyago continues to solidify her position as one of techno’s most talked about names. An intrepid selector with a positive attitude regarding all things art and dancefloor related, she’s been making seismic waves within the industry for a few years. Letyago launched her own imprint - N:S:DA last year, originally a celebration of her own dark-brooding style of techno, the label has entered a metamorphosis of sorts, welcoming in a host of established producers to remix the labels first two remix EP’s.

The Italian-born, multi-faceted DJ Tennis steps into the arena with his unique take on the original mix of “Nisida”. Elegant pads flourish through the mix, carrying listeners weightlessly into warping basslines and razor-sharp drum work. The droning synths seem to induce hypnosis, circling and swaying around the driving kick and scattered hi-hats. A production powerhouse since the early nineties, DJ Tennis continues to juggle event promotion, running a label and booking agency. A hugely talented all-rounder.

While listeners around the world continue to play the rich array of tracks on Coloray's debut album Future Static, Atomnation now serves up some tasteful remixes of it by Baril, Sam Goku and Nadia Struiwigh. The album served as a portal to a different world with stylish synths bringing plenty of colour and emotion to the club-ready grooves. Now they are all reworked for different moments on the dance floor but with equally high levels of design.

Baril - one of the main artists of Coloray's Intercept label - flips 'Broken Mirrors' into a scuffed-up groove built on crisp breaks with a faster tempo. Melancholic pads bring a sense of sombreness while the airy, half-pitched vocals add plenty of soul. A perfect piano-laced breakdown builds the energy so that when it drops again hands are sure to go in the air.

Sam Goku's own music was the subject of a fine remix EP late in 2020 and now the Munich-based artist shows off another side with his cosmic take on 'Line Break.' Slivers of synth shimmer and shine while suspensory chords bring more bright light to the tight, twisted drums and bass that take you ever higher.

Sydney-based Dutch artist Nadia Struiwigh offers the final remix of 'Center Of The C#' after establishing her unique sound on labels like on Central Processing Unit, Denovali Records and Nous'klaer Audio. She slowly builds a vibe over seven enthralling minutes, initially with majestic ambient synth work and then with subtle drum rotations that lock you into a state of hypnosis.

All three of these remixes bring a fresh perspective to the still essential originals. On top, a peak time bonus remix from collaborator and friend Eagles & Butterflies is in planning this summer for when the 12" vinyl will hit shelves. Stay in tune for more!

Mattr aka Matthew Clugston is a leftfield house, breaks, and techno producer as well as a superbly talented motion graphics artist from Birmingham, now living in London. With residencies dating back to his hometown at Code with Steve Lawler as well as supporting gigs for Sasha & Danny Tenaglia, Mattr shared decks with the likes of Tale of Us & Jamie Jones before hosting his own events with fellow innovator Alex Banks as well as Maxxi Soundsystem, and XXXY, to name a few. It was from there that he made the move to Berlin to study music production & performance and where he'd form a friendship with label partner, Max Winstanley (Lewyn Stan)who he paired up with to launch their Helical Scan imprint.

After years honing his sound, Matthew went on to release his first album along with several other productions on Faceless Recordings, TrippyCode, Ozono, and CRR, garnering support from Amé, Guy Gerber, Anja Schneider, Nick Warren, Rodriguez Jr, & the legendary Laurent Garnier.

25 years after first cutting his teeth DJing tech house & breaks, Mattr's broad musical palette often draws him closer to the more emotive side of electronic music, finding deep resonance with forward-thinking artists like Max Cooper, Jon Hopkins, Tourist, Overmono, Fourtet, Phon.O and Radioactive Man, whom you'll hear plenty of in his consistent & beautifully diverse mix series.

This past year and a half has seen a series of stunning releases on his own label, Loft & Sound, including the exquisite melters Spiel, Celadon, Flax, Ecru, Eitas, Ivo, and just this past December - Phnx & Micah, not to mention his recent Renaissance debut with Shutter, all of which have been featured on Getting Deeper.

OO Recordings returns with the second take on the Splits concept, this time with an all-Finnish lineup of artists. Different in style, similar in a forward-thinking approach to dancefloor-appeal, it’s emkay and Stuster on the cassette (and digital)!

OO Recordings is a project and a label run by DJ Aleksi, Handshaking, and Raul E. Started in 2016, the label has focused on releasing a variety of different styles of electronic music from local and international friends. The initial compilation cassettes OO vol. 1 and OO vol. 2 were followed by the first release in their Splits series in 2021. In this series, the idea is to highlight that electronic music artists are connected not only through genres but also through something that could be summarized as ethos - something you hear subconciously. Splits is a carefully curated series, where two artists share a tape with complete artistic freedom over the music. OO Recordings also hosts a monthly show on Bristol’s Noods Radio called O to O.

Alexander Stuster - aka Stuster - is a producer and a DJ who is dedicated to not only making his visions come through but also helps many others in musical endeavours. A frequent collaborator of many familiar faces from Helsinki, Stuster is also a member of Soft Assault Orchestra. His solo works have been featured on such labels as Bass Water Freak Out, Planetaria Music, and Club Designs. Sound-wise Stuster is all about forward motion and (dark) energy. He combines heavy-hitting lows with tingy digital sounds, scanning the sound spectrum in a unique way. Ofter dipping into an electro-ish style, but never stopping there.

OO Recordings returns with the second edition of Splits - a meeting spot between two creative minds. This time around, we’re representing the vibrant local scene of Helsinki.

Kicking things off on the A-side we have emkay. Also known as Gem-K or Maria Korkeila, emkay is taking the listener into the depths of house and electronica, both with a unique and cheeky touch. emkay’s minimalistic (but in no means minimal) approach to electronic music, combined with her playful lyrics creates a state of musical being that is hard to pin down into a singular genre. The key to emkay’s sound is the way it invites the body to interact with the sound, from subtle swing to full-on body-rocking.

B-side features Stuster's takes on contemporary electro and acid. It’s what music with a sophisticated bang should be all about during the 2020’s Stuster's cuts lace heavy kicks with digi-synths and acidic basslines, and manage to bring together something from the very early days of electro with something very current. Stuster’s sound in general combines the creative thinking of a mind from the digital age with an interest in sounds of the past, always with a relentless attitude to taking things forward - both in sound as in dancefloor response.

All tracks on the release are dancefloor friendly but for very different moments of the night. The tracks share a subconsciously communicated ethos, perfectly summarizing what the Splits release series is all about.

After 2 back to back solo EPs by Justin Jay, and Patrik Cure, we are back with another electro inspired Various Artists compilation, CDMUSIC008.

This release is without a doubt our most diverse line up to date, including artists from Canada, USA, Finland, Germany, Argentina & Pakistan.

This one is aimed at peak time rave music. Booming 808s, squelching 303s, tight drums, and droning synths. All the good stuff we love about electro. As you have come to expect from us, all of these tracks are inspired by the classic Detroit sound, but also reflect a lot of other modern influences. Expect a few techno & breaks flavours scattered about.

This pack features music by label head Garneau, Club Designs alumni Stuster, and a series of new comers. Danny Goliger, buen clima, Shanx, sardalove, Rudoh & RiDylan making their label debut on this release. You can expect solo releases from these great producers in the future.

Gothenburg based producer Ebende returns to Seb Wildblood’s all my thoughts imprint with an incredible full-length debut album ‘Skimmer’.

Ebende’s multifaceted sound developed from a life of music. His multi-instrumentalist father had introduced him to musical instruments such as piano, guitar, bongos and timbales. After discovering a clear understanding of rhythm & harmony throughout childhood, Ebende set his sights on music production as a teenager. To date, Ebende has put out a string of self-releases, and two impressive records on fellow Gothenburg label Aniara to name a few. However, there is no question that ‘Skimmer’ highlights the major strides Ebende has made in fine-tuning his craft.

His distinct style is characterized by captivating soundscapes, driving, intricate rhythm & an emphasis on soulful, lush harmonies, which has gained substantial support from artists and peers such as Andrey Pushkarev, Peggy Gou & Ryan Elliott.

The album opens with ‘Shift’, a hazy and dubbed-out introduction to what could be Ebende’s best work yet. The kick begins cutting through a soundscape that is drenched in mesmerizing, otherworldly synths, dubby chords. All before being introduced to a healthy dose of low end and a mind soothing, smoked-out guitar riff that hints at Balearic influences. The opening track sets the stage for what is an excellent full-length album, whether you listen on a dancefloor or at home. The future is bright for Ebende!Ebende's debut album 'Skimmer' is out everywhere, March 12.
