About DA KRUK
Featuring on Mail & Guardian's Young Top 200 of 2015 and Voted Yfm’s top producer for the “Flava In The Morning” breakfast show three years running, Yfm's Creative Brain Award winner of 2016 and recently joined Ray-Ban as a global trend-envisioner.

Born 22 August 1988 in Daveyton Ekurhuleni, Da Kruk has always been a taste finder. His natural knack to spot trends and lead “what’s in”, led him to pursue a career in advertising at youth marketing agency, MonateFellaz. He also studied branding at the Vega School of Brand Leadership.

His love for radio came knocking during his Varsity days where he started hosting a late night show at UJFM. Da Kruk then moved on to Yfm, where he currently produces the popular YFM Afternoon Drive Show called THE RAW RUSH, Weekdays from 3 – 6pm. On Weekends Da Kruk drops hot tunes on a live mix show he co-founded called – #ThePlayersClub and introduce global sounds to radio every Sunday on #THESINDAYSOCIAL.

Da Kruk also produced YFM's first #YMANIFESTO youth month dialogue, tackling and unpacking the bigger issue of the so called "Modern Day Apartheid Concept". The 2hour dialogue trended nationwide and got young people engaging the issue way beyond the broadcast period.

His love for the broadcasting and knack to stretch himself also saw guest present a television insert on ETV's CRAZE called "The Recipe" where he sat down with some of South Africa's household names in music to takes us through the process of making their biggest hit songs.

Hunters Exteme Bold a variant of the Hunters brand also chose Da Kruk to producer and present a bi-weekly 5min segment at 17h25 every Tuesday and Thursday called ABT2BLO (About To Blow) on the YFM Drive Time Show, profiling the coolest trends and taste makers to look out for and hosting a series of event for these taste finders in conjunction with the station.

The DJ and entrepreneur has also partnered with Ray-Ban as one of the brand's global trend envisioners in January 2016. A slick taste finder of trends and all things about to blow, Da Kruk will represent Johannesburg and South Africa in discovering the undiscovered when it comes to urban youth culture. Ray-Ban envisioners come from all across the world in cities like Sao Paolo, London, Tokyo and New York among others.

When he is not mixing music for his monthly download series NUDE MUSIC, Da Kruk hosts a series of bi-annual events, dubbed; ALL BLACK EVERYTHING. The events represent a social lifestyle movement that celebrates how far young people of this country have come.These series of events are celebration of all things success and progress which now and then comes in handy for urban movers and shakers with dreams and ambitions.
