On this album - Equinox, we see a return of the mysterious Medicine Fox for another round of fresh music. These tunes are reflective of a new emerging reality for humanity, as we take the time to look at ourselves while in "lockdown" and prepare to emerge once more into the world, deeper towards our fully manifested forms of light and love. The Equinox represents the time "in between times" when light and dark are in balance, and one can journey to the forest to find many creatures gathered to observe the passing of the Equinox.... There are many different approaches to building the journey we call Ecstatic Dance. Here at Ecstatic Dance Records we refer to the following “phases” for the Ecstatic Dance journey: 
Arrival * Buildup * Peak * Cruise * Landing * Integration 

Arrival tracks welcome the community to the space and the dance floor. Buildup tracks get the energy moving. Peak tracks are for catharsis and climax. Cruise tracks are played between peaks, giving the dancers a chance to get recharged. Landing tracks carry the dancers down from the final peak into the heart. Integration tracks are played at the end of the journey to hold the “beingness” after all of the dancing “doingness”.

Curated by the production artist Medicine Fox.
Medicine Fox is Production Artist, Musician and DJ  Shane Wilson. A proud member of the Choctaw Nation, his music draws inspiration from the ancient shamanic rhythms of human culture.  As a production artist , Medicine Fox began his career as a listener and a supporter in the studio, collaborating on numerous projects, such as Tulku,  Air Ananda, Sacred Ground,the Little Wolf Band and Deciduous and released his own material on several different record labels, including NewEarth, Quantum Digits and UMR.  As a musician, instruments such as guitar, synths, flutes, and an eclectic variety of percussion shakers and drums find their way into the hands of Medicine Fox.   
From years of deep listening and research, Medicine Fox has collected an extensive palette of unique music from all over the world.  Sharing these sonic discoveries as a DJ is a passion and a joy for Medicine Fox, who can be seen at regular gatherings in Vancouver and wherever he is called to around the world, with performances in the lush forests of the great northwest at festivals like Intention, Blessed Coast and OneLove to the great outback of Australia at BurningSeed.  In 2007 Shane received a Grammy Award for his part in the album "Sacred Ground - A Tribute to Mother Earth", the album won the award for "Best Album - Native American Music Category".
