After participating in the duos Nacional Electronica and I.A., Odax launched his solo career in the summer of 2021, releasing his first single on La Cura de la Semana. After that, he managed to work with Freegrant Music, and also got into the compilation from Cosmic Gate, which became a noticeable highlight of his career. Fleshed out with big room-ready muscle and sustained tension throughout, the title-track and lead single 'Waiting' is a slice of catchy, dreampop-infused EBM bound to satisfy both the raver and escapist in you. Featuring their own vocals on a track for the first time, this one fuses everything you'd expect from a quality dance floor roller: high impact and elevation laced into an epic narrative. A versatile weapon which may as well be your ideal companion for a run out in the woods, as it obviously proves deadly in peak-time club context.

'Je Danse' extrapolates the darker facet of Lunar Plane's musical genius, enhanced by the mystique-imbued vocals that contribute to a deeper, powerfully hypnotic experience. Sezer Uysal adds an eerie mystery and a seriously thunderous punch to this ghoulish hybrid of a track. Zombie workout mode activated. Two years on since his latest incursion on Stil vor Talent with 'The Pictures', Switzerland-based producer Kellerkind turns in his newest four-tracker, 'Forest Mystery'. Delving in his natural inclination towards mystique-imbued tribal sounds, this new effort packs a serious Afro-futuristic kind of punch, laced with a powerhouse hi-tech feel bound to cut a path of devastation across the dance floors. Fully designed and kitted out to meet the requirements of extensive DJ use, this new package lets its whirlwind of polyrhythmic boogie and cosmic groove do the talk as Kellerkind ushers us in a blazing furnace of sorts.
Where the title-track 'Forest Mystery' flexes a bouncy swagger flush with middle-eastern tropes - including some fiery darbukkah solos, and nicely complemented by classic piano house stabs, flamenco-informed clapping and a hi-intensity buildup to rev it all with irresistible club impact, 'Karinda' treats us to a further hypnotic sequence of stripped-back East Coast grooviness and dubbed-out sensuality, bridging the gap between loungey house and proper ritualistic music thanks to spellbinding shaman-like vocal samples out the foggiest jungle.

Our very special guest this week on the Cadenza Music Source to Cycle podcast  is Danny Howells. 

The British DJ and producer has become one of the most well loved and reliable record spinners around.  From his early days performing in the local clubs around Hastings, UK, to DJing at John Digweed’s Bedrock parties, for which he served as a resident for nine years, Howells has become a firm favorite with fans and other DJs alike.  Literally performing in every four corners of the globe, with a relentless schedule over the years, Danny is known for his longer extended sets, regularly working a 10 hour set, be it in New York or London, or beyond.

In the studio, Danny has been releasing his own brand of “futuristic tech house funk” under various guises since the mid 1990s, cropping up on labels like Yoshitoshi, Sex On Wax and his own label, Dig Deeper, but it’s probably as a DJ first and fore mostly that Danny has built his solid reputation upon, releasing superb mix albums for Renaissance, Global Underground and most recently, Balance Music, as well as legendary radio mixes such as his classic 2002 Radio 1 Essential Mix.

So, it’s a real scoop to have him on the Cadenza Music Source to Cycle podcast this week, so prepare for two hours of music par excellence, this week, from Danny Howells.
