The Radio Slave remixes proved once again how timeless and adaptable Love Stimulation is. More than just a solid classic, it expanded to become deeper and more atmospheric, carrying its themes into deeper spaces while maintaining its spark. Mariano Mellino returns to his old amigos at Darkroom Dubs to immerse us in the dark art of murkery. Deep weaves of mystifying mist laced around the beats, a powerful sense of unknown; creepy, spine-tingling, tightly coiled in latent tension… ‘Murk’ more than lives up to its name and reminds us why Mariano keeps returning to Silicone Soul’s label.

It’s backed by the equally tense and evocative ‘Mubarak’. Another deep, driving narrative from the Argentinian producer, here the hypnosis can be found locked into the bulbous palpitating bass/kick arrangement while a chorus of ghostly pads harmonise in the background, just out of focus. Trippy, eerie, unhurried; this captures the essence of what Darkroom Dubs is truly all about.

There’s plenty more where this came from, too… Mariano’s single will be followed very soon by new material from the label bosses Silicone Soul themselves and new face to the label – but not to our sets – Kincaid. Stay tuned.

Tribal house music talent PALMFooD is next up on Get Physical with a pair of perfectly intoxicating new tracks.

PALMFooD is a Connected, MoBlack and Still Vor Talent artist who has studied drums and percussion all his life. After a time living in Vienna training in Sound Engineering, he has gone on to establish himself as a DJ on the European circuit, with gigs at the likes of Watergate and plenty of fresh productions with exquisite synths, strong basslines and ethnic elements coming thick and fast.

This latest offering kicks off with 'Bogogan', which is utterly enchanting from the off with dreamy pads and soft, delicate chords. The drums are warm and deep and together they make for an immersive musical trip.

Next up is the excellent 'Hamaya Dream', a more cosmically angled tune with sprinkles of starry keys up top and hypnotic leads that take you late into the night. Once again the drums are rubbery and humid and show PALMFooD's mastery of atmosphere.

These are two more tasteful tunes from the intriguing PALMFooD.

One of the most promising producers from Montenegro, our member for a long time, Milos Bulajic Buba, has prepared ten great songs for us to make the album. This will also be the second album ever released on our record label. "Dreamlands" album consists of ten beautiful songs, carefully produced, where each song has its own background story. Two songs out of ten were done in collaboration with Lerr, another of the top performers coming to us from Montenegro.

Founded in the lush tropical paradise of Cairns in 2007 and now managed out of the bustling metropolis of Brisbane, Open has grown into a respected and prolific label with more than 70 releases from artists in all corners of the globe.
