I love EVERY Gelow song... this one struck me when I first started surfing the clouds. Surreal lyrics in a cry for nature and an outstanding structure. The BIG challenge was to maintain the energy that he puts into everything he does.

Come over here and get a drink. 
This man says, “come to me and drink”.
And suddenly I had to turn and stop and think.
And face all my uncertainty.
And wonder about eternity.
And where to place my hope.

He says it's living water- 
flowing like a river-
through the life of the believer.
In the spirit of the savior. 
Poured into his endeavors-
With the seeker, the warrior, 
The thinker, deceiver. 
The never-receiver.
The almost-believer.

It's a life inside that’s more than you.
Extending through, out past your view.
Running past the walls of you.
Like the streams and rivers like to  do.

Well as it's that time of year we thought we'd throw our, er, leaf into the autumn song ring.

Following "Summer Rain", this is the second of a seasonal series of variations on a simple musical theme.   Eat yer heart out Viv.  :)

An Autumn Pastorale

The year’s getting late, now summer’s sleeping
I contemplate how autumn’s creeping in.
Berries shining for the birds
As they harmonise each others’ words
In a chorus like the angels heard.
Smiling with friends at ease
Laughing under sleepy trees
Kicking up the fallen leaves…year’s getting late

The year’s getting late, for carefree living
Lazy times, with honest give and take.
Simple joys like baby smiles
And climbing hills to see for miles
Anticipating each sunrise.
Spider webs in the evening sun
Calling geese on their Southern run
The evening star switching on…year’s getting late

The year’s getting late, memories clinging
Better times, that sweet hope’s bringing in
The last of this year’s butterflies
Mother nature’s neat surprise
Delighting even tired eyes.
Sunbeams dancing in the breeze
On crazy colour painted leaves
Can’t those days come back please? … year’s getting late.
