“Engage in the newness!” “Don’t imitate others!” (Yoshihara, 1954)
The Gutai group was a collection of Japanese artists, working in the aftermath of World War II. Gutai radically redefined art for the post-war age by exploring the relationship between art, body, space and time, whilst emphasising the process of damage or destruction in subsequently revealing true beauty. Fusing art and technology was a direct reference to the rapid transformation and modernization of Japan, whilst emphasising the importance of collaboration in fostering creativity.
This mix is inspired by the ethos of Gutai, and soundtracks the Japanese musical avant-garde that thrived concurrently.

Almost exactly 2 years ago Avenue Red featured a Lithuanian DJ/artist in a two-part episode of ethereal, beautiful yet strange techno-oriented stylings. He came from his country's second largest city of Kaunas. His name was Liepu Saloj... and he's back! And it's yet another double-mix payload too! :D

For this first instalment he delivers almost 100 minutes of his trademark DJ'ing style of high-intensity, tightly sequenced, unusually mixed techno deepness that excites the ear, captures the imagination and moves the body in equal measures.

6AM Post deriva de 6AM y se desarrolla como un proceso continuo de transformaciones tímbricas y morfológicas, articulando una estética glitch con estructuras armónicas inestables y un tratamiento orgánico del material sonoro. Cuenta además con una versión cuadrafónica para performance en vivo.

6AM Post derives from 6AM and unfolds as a continuous process of timbral and morphological transformations. The work articulates a glitch aesthetic with unstable harmonic structures and an organic development of the sonic material. The piece also exists in a quadraphonic version used for live performance.

A haunting loop of breath and resistance, this track captures the suffocation of love turned toxic. With pulsing repetition and raw admissions. The song embodies the exhaustion of a relationship built on games and cycles that never end. Dark, atmospheric, and unrelenting, it’s a release that channels frustration into hypnotic intensity.
