This edition of of our mix series features the legendary Solar of the quintessential Sunset Sound System crew of San Fransisco and avant garde music label Squirrels On Film. We dug up a  recording from one of his last sets at the Monkey Loft and it's a masterclass on how to thread a narrative through many genres without losing the psychedelic plot. Solar will be kicking things off for Shameless' Thursday night summertime weekly rooftop party Deck'd Out at the Monkey Loft. Joining him will be Foxy McLeod along with  Innerflight residents Kadeejah Streets and Rhines.

Bent are Nail Tolliday and Simon Mills, two Nottingham based producers who have been pushing lush, emotive electronica since 1999. Just as comfortable crafting a slice of melancholy downtempo as they are laying down a summery dance floor cut, some of their classic sample-heavy productions include ‘Magic Love’, ‘Always’ and ‘Swollen’ (to name but a few).

In 2020 they released  their sixth studio album, Up In The Air, their first full length release since 2006. Brimming with eight beautifully melodic tracks, the LP proved the boys haven’t lost their touch. We’re over the moon to have them put together a mixtape for us. Hope you enjoy.

The name Warm Art was derived from the phrase The Art Of The Warm Up. For 20 years, that has been the concept that has shaped our sound. It has also grown into so much more than that with new members and contributors throughout the years. Now is a good time to regain focus and hear what it sounds like today.

This is the opening set that Rob played at Banshee in Atlanta for the Warm Art 20 Year Anniversary on October 14, 2022.
